I’m a drummer looking for other musicians to jam and make music with. My style is chill, low-tempo music, like ambient and lofi beats type of stuff. I’m not a pro. I also have a foundational grasp on music theory.
As long as you can jam on a few chords, we can have fun and make music together.

Good evening, Despite in-person lessons are much better, I'm offering online sessions as well. Look forward to talking with you!
My name is Dearian Seepersad, I'm a Music Teacher, Performer, and Composer. For the last 5 years I've been performing all over the GTA, including: festivals; pride, multi-cultural, afro-fest, private functions, restaurants, bars, and producing my local show while producing tracks for local Toronto artists. This year, I'm building my independent music school from my home studio. (Big Project!) Too often, I hear about beginner students horror stories about learning in the classical vein or the lack of purpose in general lesson plans. My focus is to create a unique lesson plan for each student to maximize efficiency while incorporating my teaching style into the plan. I incorporate musical expression, technique, and theory into each lesson while taking we've learnt and reworking it into something original. Composition being the ultimate goal; as we learn a lot quicker thinking for ourselves. There are no limitations, I've taught and performed in many genres: Classical, Jazz, Rock,Pop,Reggae, Blues, Hip-hop, Gospel, Fusion, the list goes on... So who am I? I'm a 24 year old musician who's extremely passionate about ALL music. - Completed 3 years Mohawk College Applied Music program. - 5 years teaching experience. (Includes leading band rehearsal and performances) - Developed and promoted shows - Constantly studying the scripts of the great classical composers. - Most important: Patient and Understanding. The lessons I'm offering are: Guitar, Bass, Keyboard, Recording, and Drums. (Drums taught by another teacher) We will discuss: Structure (Form), Harmony, Melody, Counterpoint, Sightreading and Improvisation while meeting the technical demands of instrument.
Each lesson will be 30 - 45 minutes with the option to have the lesson at your location/home. My rates are fair and negotiable. We all have our lives and circumstances going on; it's okay. Feel free to respond to this ad, call or text: 647-294-0493. (I'm quite busy, if you text the instrument you wish to learn, I'll call as soon as I'm available)
Thanks for reading, I hope we chat soon! "Music is the mediator between the spiritual and sensual life" - Ludwig Van Beethoven.

Hello!
I’m searching for a guitar and or bass player who is interested in writing originals, and performing live shows, make an album, play shows outside of town eventually etc the full nine yards type project.
I’m looking to find a guitar player who has a similar tastes in music. The intended target genre is somewhere along the lines of metalcore/djent/rock/punk or something inbetween. I really like catchy melodic stuff but also heavy riff centric or progressive technical stuff. Bands big on my influences are Our we Night, Erra, A Day To Remember, As I Lay Dying, Volumes.
-Ideally you have some experience playing/performing/writing original music
-ideally you have your own pro level gear or at least decent gear for live use (or are in process of investing in such gear or are willing to invest)
-Ideally your in the Peterborough ON area or can get here for studio work and rehearsals.
-You’re also at least of age to enter a bar or will be soon enough (18+ only sorry kiddos)
About me: I’m in the downtown Peterborough area, I have pro gear, I have options for jam spaces and I have experience playing/writing/performing live and leading a band. Im looking for a solid Captain/Co-Pilot to work alongside me in this project.
Thanks for reading \m/

It’s been a few years, but I would really like to mature musicians.
That dig the same kinda tunes I’m into,. To start up or join a band.
I’ve had quite a-bit of experience, years ago.
So Id like to adapt into a band, where we could all be influenced by each other & mature together as a band!
I really miss the experience of practicing & playing in a band!
* of course I’m willing to build a band with the right musicians!Feel free to contact me by email.

We are Present Tense. We are a group of guys who have enjoyed playing covers for many years. The pictures will give you an idea of the types of setlists we have played.
We need a singer with ability to hit some Led Zep, AC/DC, Foo Fighters, Van Halen notes for some fun. We have a full setup in peterborough. Bonus if you can play some rhythm guitar. We like things to be tight so gotta be ready when jam.
We are busy guys but try to jam every 3-4 weeks and more when practicing for a gig.
If this interests you get a hold of us!
Cheers

Moved up here pretty recently. I had been playing in a couple of bands. Playing covers and writing original stuff. Pretty decent range. Can sing all kinds of stuff. My main influences are AiC, Soundgarden, StP, Screaming Trees, Pixies, Iggy Pop, QotsA and tons more. I'll sing pretty much anything though as long as the band digs it. Easy to work with. I can send my YouTube link with some live stuff over for reference.

I am a mature drummer looking to join a fun band. I am not really concerned about the genre so much, not a big fan of blues or bluegrass but I am a fan of pretty much everything else 90's to current, just looking to playing and having fun, live once in a while, I don't have the availability to play a gig every week. I have all the pro gear, several drum kits, monster kits to scaled back 4 piece and a full scale pa to play anywhere. I don't have a rehearsal spot, sorry. I am also open to starting something from scratch. Feel free to drop me a message if you you what to chat about it, Cheers.

I'm a guitarist forming a New-Age\World\Latin music group and looking for the following musicians:
- bassist
- drumist/percussion
- keyboard (and\or accordion)
- guitar (nylon-string)I'd also be interested hearing from any interested:
- violinist
- flutist
- mandolin playerThe group would be similar a setup to Jesse Cook's band.
Looking to start off covering selected songs as close to the original recording as possible (see example links at bottom of ad). We can add additional solos\improvisation as band members see fit then see where it goes from there (e.g. original compositions, newer-celtic and maybe a bit of jazz if it can be worked in).
Depending on group consensus we'd practice together once a week. I have a large dedicated rehearsal space\sound equipment so you'd just need transport for yourself and your instrument if you want.
If you're interested, reply and send me your contact info (email or cell) and we can discuss at greater length.
I expect, due to covid and social distancing guidelines, that it will take a little longer to get things setup and running. Hoping we can get some in person practices going by late March or April.

I have a partially completed project I would like to finish that is VERY CHILDISH ADULT XXX HUMOUR. (You've been warned.)
I am looking for a local collaborator on this project of about 20 pieces. Some are small and repetitive but won't eat up many hours.

I'm a 26 year old male guitarist/song writer and over the years I've been making some songs (indie, punk) and have been working on a small project called "There might be monsters". I'm hoping this ad draws attention to some fellow musicians who'd like to get together and have a few jam sessions and maybe collaborate? Right now this is for fun but if we build enough chemistry we can see where it goes. Message me if interested.

Bancroft/Peterborough based Doom/Post Metal/Sludge etc., band, Uncle Woe is looking for a bass player, and a second guitar player.
We're currently focusing on a few singles as we get comfortable with some new equipment, and then will be gearing up to get going on our 3rd LP, and would love to be able to take this act live as soon as public restrictions permit. (We have a couple of hypothetical gigs booked for Victoria Day weekend and Labour Day weekend, as long as we can all get out to events by then.)
In the meantime, we would need to find someone dedicated enough to be able to learn their parts and practice at home until we can all get together. I have intentionally left a lot of the bass lines fairly loose, with this scenario in mind. There are some songs/sections where the bassline is pretty carved in stone, but there is also a lot of room for you to make it your own. Both Uncle Woe LPs have done some charting on The Doom Charts, and across Canadian hard/heavy radio charts. We've started cracking into US radio. Plenty of great reviews across all the right Doom-centric online pages and sites.
We've sold out almost every physical thing we've offered. We've been invited to shows abroad (pre-isolation, obviously,), and overall have a bit of an international cult following.
It would be amazing to be able to take that from just a studio based project to a fully functioning band. A few social distancing shows, maybe some online streamed performances, etc. in the semi-immediate future.
Even post-quarantine, this isn't something I ever see turning into a major world tour affair, but we would definitely be looking to play semi-regular shows between the GTA and Montreal.Musically, we're fairly progressive, for a doom band. Lots of 10 to 15 minute songs with a bunch of different time signatures and elaborate song structures. It's basically prog in slow motion, and tuned to Drop G#.
The heavy parts are all the way heavy, but there are plenty of psychedelic, post-rock passages linking it all together.
Genre-specific influences include: Yob, Sumac, Sâver, Bismuth, Godspeed You! Black Emperor, CHRCH, Occlith, Meshuggah, Sabbath, Floyd, The Mars Volta, Deftones, Slomatics, etc.You can find our previous releases at unclewoe.bandcamp.com
Production values have and will continue to improve since the first album, as the project became more serious. Plenty of new mics, software, interface, etc., even since the second album was wrapped up. Onward and upward.Give ear to the stuff we've got so far, and get in touch if you're interested.
Much thankings.

Looking for a serious bass player with experience around 25-35. With a good attitude. We're almost a full band with guitar, drums and vocalist. With an album worth of songs. But, we're open to any new ideas and we've kept the bass parts open to a fresh perspective so you can write your own parts. We have our own sound but the vibe is Radiohead esque with sometimes the odd time signature change, but still accessible to most.
Please text - 416-550-9490
for more info.
Thanks!

READ THIS CAREFULLY
So no one gets their time wasted I'm not looking to play covers. I have several songs that I want to perform eventually and I need a good guitar player, willing to learn and play my songs. You can do what you want with your parts, I'll leave that up to your creativity, I'll stick with bass.
I'm looking for a rock steady drummer who can groove to some funk/rock bass.
The project also needs a singer/lyricist who can keep a crowd entertained between songs.
I don't care how old you are as long as you can play and contribute time and creativity.
I intend to put together a set and perform once shows happen again. I have access to a jam space with a pa and kit
