Pair of brother Flemish Giant x Chinchilla x Champagne d'Argent
Description
Born March 15th, 2021, these sweeties will be all set to go in early May.
Mama Acorn is a very small purebred Flemish Giant.
Dad is Oak, a silver Chinchilla x Champagne d'Argent who is one of the friendliest rabbits we've ever had.
The final size estimate on these guys in uncertain: Dad is just over 6lbs, Mama is approximately the same, although Mama's sister is over 11lbs. So it's anyone's guess!
$$Price is $80 for the pair, although we will happily consider barters or other offers based on financial need as we understand the value of having fuzzy companions and don't want it to be out of reach for anyone.
**We only sell 2 (or more) together. I have added a paragraph at the bottom of this ad with our reasoning as many people have been curious.
*The minimum space we recommend would be at least 24 square feet (think 5x7 or 4x6 feet) for a pair. Whether you plan to keep your rabbits indoors or out, the more space you can offer them, the happier and healthier they will be.
Feel free to respond to this ad or text (705)799-2705.
*Please see our General Ad for more info on our set up and check us out on Instagram @fifefuzzyfarm.
We can safely maintain social distancing as we meet outdoors with masks and are happy to do cash or e-transfer.
Located near Fowlers Corners, we would consider delivery only within Peterborough, Lindsay, Millbrook, or Lakefield for an additional fee.
Unless you have rabbits already in your home, we only sell pairs (or more) of rabbits and a lot of people have been curious to know why. To start with, going to a new home with a familiar companion reduces the stress levels of the rabbits. Domestic rabbits are related to European wild rabbits, and those wild rabbits live in colonies. All of our rabbits are raised in colonies, with mature bucks being kept in pairs. Even the bucks groom and snuggle each other. With the does (females), we have seen very close bonds formed. In some cases, we have Aunties who will babysit or even nurse another doe’s kits. In one situation, we had a doe unexpectedly pass away. This left her sister and a niece having anxiety attacks and exhibiting symptoms of depression, respectively. Clearly those were strong bonds! While we understand not all rabbit keepers feel this way, it has become very important to us that our rabbits always be kept with fellow rabbits for company.
***If you ever become unable to keep your rabbits, we are always happy to receive them back.
Thanks!
