1933 C400
Description
Ford made a convertible sedan in 1931 - the A400. In 1932, this body style with full doors, roll up windows and a folding top was the B400. This project car is a take on those body styles - starting with a 33 2dr sedan as a base, a cabriolet cowl was added, the top chopped 1 1/2”, the quarter windows shortened 6” and the body is completely reinforced with steel tubing. A new 16 ga flat floor is installed along with 16ga wheel tubs. The frame is a custom built with a 2” stretch at the cowl and a kickup at the rear. The rear suspension is a Heidts polished stainless and aluminum independent to match the Heidts polished stainless superide front end. A steel 3 piece hood is stretched 2” to match the frame. Rear original steel fenders have been bobbed to go along with the repro steel fronts. Wheels are Americans with bfg tires - 15” fronts and 17” rears. The roof is a one piece lift off top - aluminum tube structure that is skinned in sheet aluminum. This is a high end build for someone that wants a one of a kind 33 never produced by Henry -Call or text - no trades- 204-870-2267
