Dexter bull Calves available (yearlings)
Description
Dexter cows are known for being very friendly gentle and quiet. They are a very hearty breed and dual purpose (meat or milk) They are easy to manage and we have never had an aggressive Dexter cow or bull. They are very efficient grazers so they gain more efficiently then other breeds (more weight per lb of forage / feed) are good on smaller pastures and due to their size are easy to process yourself if you so choose.
Dexter bulls are also capable of breeding larger cows as we have bred both Angus and jersey cows with our Dexter bulls in the past.
We have 2 bull calves available
#1 cutlet - $1500 (intact bull calf)
Cutlet is glitz baby, born last winter, he is a good size and red, growing well and would make a fantastic breeding bull. We were going to keep him for breeding before we acquired more land and decided to move to a larger breed of cattle.
#2 frank. $1300 (intact bull calf)
Frank is younger then cutlet and also smaller considering his age, I do not expect him to grow to be as large as cutlet but he will be a great Dexter bull or could be good for freezer camp. He is reds son from this year but did not get her short leg gene and is already as tall as his mother
