Hi! My name is Dan and I'm an experienced instructor with over 15 years of teaching experience and 10 years of industry experience. I've taught at McGill University and Dawson college and worked at Microsoft and Ericsson as a software developer. I have a Masters in Computer Science from McGill and BSc in Math and Computer Science from McGill.

I'm offering tutoring, lessons, or help with computer programming, math, or chess. Lesson are offered either in person in the Montreal downtown area or online. I can help with course material, assignments, test preparation, personal projects, etc. My largest experiences have been with high school and college/university level students, but I've also worked with students as young as 6.
As a tutor, I'm here to help you develop the skills needed to tackle the challenges you're facing, whether they are with course material, assignments, test preparation, personal projects, etc. To do this, we'll typically start with going over your background and goals. This helps me to figure out what skills you want to learn and/or practice with. After that, we'll go and practice them together! I'll design practice problems and questions which are meant to gradually increase in difficulty until you've reached the point that you want.

Computers:
-Java, C#, C/C++, Python, Javascript/node.js, Databases, Algorithms, AI
Math:
-Calculus, Statistics, Probability, Algebra, Linear Algebra, Trigonometry, Geometry, Analysis
Rates:
I charge 40$/hour for an online lesson. (In person lessons available in Montreal depend on travel time). Every lesson includes customized content and a lesson plan to ensure the lesson matches what you need.
Before starting, it's often good to have a consultation session where we go over what you'd like to get out of the lessons. This session is entirely free and helps me to prepare a good session so you make the most of your time. This can also be done via email/text correspondence if that's more convenient.
