Louisiana Catahoula top quality purebred male pup
Description
Update for Feb.3rd: ONE MALE pup available. He is gorgeous and ready to go to his lucky family. Large head and strong bones. Sharp mind, easy learner, looks very promising, well socialized, very serious looking pup, watches and barks already. Introduced to goats, mini pigs and soon to chickens as well.
On one of the pictures you can see how large this pup is standing right next to his mommy.
The adoption fee for the male pups is 600.
Catahoulas are extremely loyal to their family, excel as poultry guardian dog, recreation dog, watch dog, cattle dog, hunting companion, a dog that resembles a hound dog but without the “hound mind” hence good with livestock and poultry (proven and vetted on our farm). One of the healthiest dog breeds out there if kept in optimal weight, obese dogs are prone to issues as any other breed.
Survivalists and preppers love this breed for their loyalty and silence (barking only when there is something out there).
Catahoulas won’t wonder away, they stay around the house, will false charge on a black bear, chase away a fox but will not chase it endlessly for days as hound dogs do. Their super short coat allows them to be active in hottest summers without overheating. Despite their super short coat, they are tough for our Cariboo winters if provided with nice dog house full of hay (refill as per need) and slightly increased food amount.
They are excellent with small children.
Catahoulas are versatile and could be trained for variety of farm jobs, but their mind totally transforms at around 12th month of their age where they start to show more mature attitude and suddenly know everything we need them to understand, so patience is required for those who never had a Catahoula for a companion.
Males will grow to be around 70 lbs of lean summer weight, females will be around 50-60 lbs.
This litter is this dam’s first.
Both parents are available for viewing here on our farm.
The last two pictures are of the parents. Pictures fail to depict true beauty of these dogs as they are far more attractive in real life. It is very risky to adopt Catahoula pups from uncertain breeding history of non-registered "catahoulas", our dogs are registered with NALC.
Pups were whelped on November 9th and ready to go right away. Full money back guarantee in case of any genetic issues like hip problems, blindness, deafness, back issues, underbite or overbite etc. Viral or bacterial diseases, injuries, bad diet related issues etc, are not covered by our health guarantee.
We are located about 30 min north of Quesnel, BC. For those who want their pup shipped via WestJet Cargo air, the airport is located about 100km north and will cost extra for my gas and time plus airfare for the pup, health certificate from a vet plus my gas to take the pup to the vet and a travel crate in which a pup will be shipped in.
The best way to reach us is via message here, but my phone number will be provided in case you have no other means of contacting us. Don't miss this unique opportunity to own your first Catahoula of top quality and find out why are these dogs gaining on popularity.
