We are in search of another domestic care worker to help provide care in our home. We have 6 children with a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder and other comorbidities. Their ages range from 14 years to 3 years old.
Responsibilities would include:
- helping with household laundry
- household cleaning
- meal prep
- baths for the younger children.
- Assisting me with community outings (swimming, parks or appointments).
- Help transitioning from school to home in the afternoons.The ideal candidate will have:
- Clean criminal record
- Drivers license
- Proficient in English (this is important as I have 2 children with moderate/severe speech delay)
- First Aid/CPR
- Experience with Neurodivergent Children and an understanding of Autism Spectrum Disorder
- Willingness to learn neuroaffirming strategies.
- Empathy
- PatienceThe position:
Wage is $18.50/hr.
Full-Time
Pay is weekly on Thursdays via e-transfer.
