Description
“T Diamond Skye Midknight” (June 2024) is a jet black, purebred, registered Morgan gelding offered for sale. Already standing 14.3h as a long-yearling, it’s expected he will finish out at least 15 h or better. He’s a true black beauty: elegant and athletic, with a wonderful mind/attitude and loads of personality—an exceptional colt that definitely garners attention and admiration.
Sire: “Mia Mar Silver Thaw”, 2018 grey.
Dam: “C.W.’s Silver Surprize”, 2001 grey.
Check out some of the names in his extended pedigree on CLRC, including Lippitt. Despite being foaled out of two greys, Midknight did not inherit the grey gene from either: he is jet black with no markings and will never turn grey (DNA colour tested by UCDavis Vet Genetics Lab: Ee/aa).
Excellent conformation, sound legs and feet, a pretty head/eye, wonderfully fancy floating movement— this colt is a rare beauty. He comes right to you when called, is easy to catch and halter, leads, ties, loads himself in the trailer…in short, is progressing very well in his foundation training. He’s brave, inquisitive and eager to learn, and takes every new introduction willingly. Works well with the flag, with or without a lead line, he isn’t spooky, crosses obstacles no issue, doesn’t mind being sprayed/bathed, loves to be groomed. Midknight is so clever and willing, catches on so quickly, and is so eager to please, he’s just an absolute joy to work with. Midknight is an exceptional colt and deserves someone who is prepared to develop his full potential and take him to the next level.
