Campground Operations Manager
Description
Golden Lake Park Campground is looking for a reliable and experienced Operating Manager to help lead our day-to-day operations and create a great experience for both our guests and our team.
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys working with people, staying organized, and keeping things running smoothly in a fast-paced, outdoor setting. The position is seasonal (approximately May 1 to October 31), part time or full time hours, with the opportunity to return each year. We offer competitive pay based on experience.
About the Role
As Operating Manager, you’ll be at the center of everything—supporting staff, helping guests, and making sure daily operations run efficiently. You’ll have the opportunity to make a real impact on the guest experience and help shape how the campground operates and grows.
You’ll be a great fit if you:
-Have experience leading or supervising a team
-Enjoy working with people and take pride in great customer service
-Are organized, dependable, and comfortable juggling multiple tasks
-Take a positive, solution-focused approach to challenges
-Communicate clearly and confidently with both staff and guests
-Are comfortable working independently and making decisions when needed
-Have basic skills in Microsoft Office, phone communication, and general administration (accounting knowledge is a bonus)
Experience in hospitality, tourism, or campground operations is an asset, but not required.
Responsibilities
-Oversee staff across areas such as the store, maintenance, cleaning, security, and activities
-Manage the daily operations of the main store and office
-Support front desk duties, including phone calls, emails, and guest check-ins
-Handle day-to-day problem solving and ensure smooth operations
-Help with in-house marketing and guest engagement
-Build and improve systems, training, and processes to support both staff and the overall campground experience
