Possible trade Cat D4 5T and 7U/ cash for my grandpa's old D4 7U
Description
I am looking for my Papa's old Cat D4 7U southern British Columbia. Somewhat of a long shot but I'm curious if it has survived. The tractor would be likely early serial number 7U under 10,000. Model year 1947- 1950. Notable features are the large dent in the fender fuel tank, Finning type canopy and sweeps, toolbox mounted to the hood, holes cut in the brush screens behind the operator, some type of guard welded to top of canopy? Maybe for a work light? , horseshoes welded to the back of the canopy to hang chokers, Hyster D4N winch and was rope pull pony start. I know the tractor ended up in Revelstoke, British Columbia for a number of years starting early 1990s until at least 2007, likely several years after that. The fellow my Papa sold it to passed away last year as did any info of its whereabouts. I have another 7U that I actually believed was my papa's and a 5T tractor that could be made a deal for in exchange for my Papa's or can pay cash too. If you know of this tractor's whereabouts let's talk and maybe make a deal! Even if the machine is in a very sorry state or a carcass I would like to know. Thank you everyone!
