Description
If you are looking for a great farm/family dog - your search is over!
The mother, "Kismet" is Great Pyrenees with one parent purebred and one X Anatolian (Kangal) and the father, "Haku" has one parent purebred and one Maremma X Akbash. These are all very old breeds and highly complementary, very similar characteristics and traits.

Kismet is more typical Great Pyrenees (nocturnal, vocal, watchful) and Haku is very human-oriented. They are both very tough and at the same time, incredibly loyal to their people. They had one serious fight (a week before she gave birth to this litter) and I was in the middle of it for ten minutes before my neighbor and I finally got them apart. It was savage. lots of blood. I came away without a scratch. neither of them even growled (let alone snapped) at me, not once.
Kismet (black skin and thick undercoat) seems impervious to cold, sleeping under the falling snow at -20. Haku (pink skin and not much for undercoat) likes cover. They have never been indoors.
I have children, 4yrs and 7yrs and neither of the dogs have ever showed a second of aggression towards them, not ever (Haku has knocked down my 4yr old here and there, through lack of perfect spatial awareness). We have cats, chickens, goats and horses and the dogs are really great with all of them (though Haku does love to run with the horses if they are, which isn't always well-received). The dogs have learned to keep my goats away from the house and although I live waaaay into the forest, I have had literally zero issues with predators. My goats free range up on the ridge above the property and the chickens freely roam into the forest. Haven't lost a single animal since the dogs were about 5 months old (lost a couple chickens before then).
These puppies are obviously not city dogs. They can't go to an indoor life. They need room to roam and a job. I have no fencing and they almost always stay home. However, if they are chasing something away, they can be gone for an hour or so. But amazing protectors. I have no problems with wolves, coyotes, bears or cougars. And I am in the middle of their turf: when I moved in, the window sills all had claw marks from the bears looking inside...
They are not aggressive vs people, I have to say (they will bark of course, and are very present with any arrival). Pretty trusting, to our limited amount of visitors way out here...
Anyway, that probably paints a good enough picture of the type of animals these are. I can't explain how valuable they are to me and how much I love them, but hopefully you get the idea.
