A rare complete set of four genuine French Louis XVI dining chairs, circa 1880–1920.
These are authentic antiques — not reproductions.
Family pieces brought from France.
Each chair was professionally re-upholstered in 2010 in its own unique rich cut velvet (cream, orange/purple, chocolate brown, and taupe) — creating a bold, curated designer statement. The wood frames, original paint, and brass nailhead trim have NEVER been touched — completely original.
FEATURES:
• Square upholstered backs with moulded wood frame — defining Louis XVI style
• Fluted tapered legs ending in toupie (spinning-top) feet
• Carved rosette blocks at leg joints — signature Louis XVI detail
• Original brass nailhead trim — fully intact
• Original painted/limed beechwood frame in warm cream/putty tone
• Each chair unique in its velvet colour — a bold designer statement
