1969 Cougar in GREAT shape
Description
Very rare 1969 Mercury Cougar in near original condition. Get your “Sign of the Cat”. Only 100,069 Cougars made in 69; compared to 299,824 Ford Mustangs (its sister car). Only 2,250 Eliminators. Most stayed in the US.
Starts and runs perfectly, MSD starter. Too much spent to list getting it to run / ride like new. Wheels and rubber installed in May.
Built in Chicago in 06/69 for export to Canada. She’s decked out as an Eliminator with black-out grill, hood scoop, front and rear spoilers, curb moldings / rocker panels.
Rear axle 2.75:1, Auto FMX, 8 Cylinder 351 cu (2V): "Windsor" V8 was standard engine in 69, at 250 hp. Cleveland became standard in 70.
Medium Lime Metallic / Black Vinyl. Odometer 4220 miles; could be 104k … condition suggests much less: no rips, tears or fading. Couple minor blemishes in chrome. Not perfect, 50+ years old … but GREAT!
For a head turning, one of a kind car, look no further. Serious inquiries only. Others cars could be available as changing up.
