Construction Laborers Job Opening

The Construction General Laborer supports concrete construction projects by performing physically demanding tasks on active job sites. This role involves working with concrete forming systems, assisting with setup and dismantling of structures, and maintaining a clean and safe work area across various locations within commuting distance of the main headquarters.

Responsibilities:
-Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades according to site requirements and safety standards.
-Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt to support forming and finishing activities.
-Assist with setting up and moving concrete frames, including duraform systems, to prepare for concrete pours.
-Support formsetting activities by positioning, securing, and adjusting forms as directed.
-Clean, sort, and neatly pile salvaged materials to ensure they are ready for reuse or removal.
-Remove rubble, debris, and waste materials from construction sites to maintain a clean and safe working environment.

Essential Skills:
-Concrete labor experience, including working with concrete forming and pouring activities.
-Hands-on experience with setting up and moving concrete frames, including duraform systems.
-Ability to erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades.
-Comfort performing heavy labor and lifting for extended periods in a construction environment.

Work Environment/Shifts:
This role is based on day shifts, typically running from approximately 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with work conducted at various construction sites within about one hour of the main headquarters in Dashwood, ON.
