Dodgeball Skills Clinic & WDBF Mini League
Description
Take your dodgeball skills to the next level with Play Sask at our 3-week Dodgeball Skills Clinic and 3-week World Dodgeball Federation Mini-League!
At the Dodgeball Skills Clinic, players from the Saskatchewan provincial dodgeball teams will lead you in a series of drills and practices, providing personalized feedback to help you improve your game. The two-hour sessions will include scrimmage time so you can put what you’ve learned into practice.
Saturday, Feb. 25 from 1-3 PM — Throwing & catching
Saturday, March 4 from 1-3 PM — Dodging & blocking
Saturday, March 25 from 1-3 PM — Teamwork & Strategy
Fees are $79 for all three sessions or $33 per session (taxes included), and a portion of the fees will help support the Saskatchewan provincial dodgeball players to get to nationals! All sessions will take place at Cosmo Civic Centre.
This event is aimed at new and intermediate players to give you an opportunity to improve your dodgeball skills. Drills will be applicable to both rec rules dodgeball and tournament rules (WDBF rules). Scrimmages will follow rec rules.
At the WDBF Mini-League, you'll get a chance to learn and play by what is fast becoming the standard for dodgeball leagues across Canada: World Dodgeball Federation (WDBF) rules.
The WDBF mini-league runs on Wednesdays March 1, 15 and 22 from 6-7 PM at St. Mary’s Wellness Centre. Fees for all three dates are only $27 (taxes included).
Participants will form a draft team and spend the hour playing scrimmages, including getting the chance to practice reffing.
These are the same rules that are used in official tournaments, and if you’re new to the rules, we’ll pair you up with experienced players to show you the ropes.
Deadline to register: Thursday, Feb. 16
