CLOSE TO EVERYTHING FUN
The quiet concrete building is surrounded by downtown vitality, with dozens of shops and restaurants, and
even the bus mall, all within a one block radius. Neighbors within a block include Starbucks, Spicy Bite, Red Pepper, Rook and Raven, Winston's, and many more. Walk another block or two to to get to river trails, Scotia Theatre, Midtown Plaza, YMCA, Remai Gallery, and the Public Library. We are located 6 blocks from Riversdale shops, restaurants and the Farmer's Market, and a mile from the U of S campus. Our lower level Drinkle Mall is home to 19 shops including jewelry, home products, lighting, pet supplies, confectionary, shoes, sporting goods, fishing tackle, new age, hair salon, goldsmith, watch repair, and hobby shop. Many of our mall merchants work and live in the building, adding to the sense of community and safety. Our building is also home to D3 Coworking center, a renovated workspace creating community building tenants and entrepreneurs. The Drinkle3 Building is rated by walkscore.com as among the top 2% of buildings nationally for ‘walkable’ access to services, with even a higher rating for bike access.
SUSTAINABILITY and PLACE MAKING
At Drinkle3 we believe that context is the key to sustainability. Old downtown buildings like Drinkle3 can
play an important role in countering the negative impact of urban sprawl by leveraging the tools at our disposal such as public art, heritage, bikes, transit, community, and fun. That’s why over the years we
have sponsored initiatives such as Saskatoon CarShare Coop, Saskatoon Cycles, DrinkleFest Better
Block Party, Milden Food Project, Mendel’s Murals, Children’s Discovery Museum, tenant get-togethers,
and more. In 2007 the Drinkle Building received a Cultural Capitals grant, through the City of Saskatoon
and Heritage Canada, to install a 72 foot tall artwork featuring portraits of seven city founders. The
artwork was produced by Henry VanSeters and can be seen on the north wall of the building. We also
received a grant that year to produce a photo exhibit detailing the history of the Drinkle Building and its
founder J. C. Drinkle. That exhibit is available to be viewed during business hours in the lower level mall.

PARKING: We do not have any parking spaces at Drinkle3. For that reason our building tends to be most attractive to bicyclists and bus riders, however, for drivers, we can provide a subleased parking space for $185/mo.
