Gardener or Horticulturalist or Grower

Would someone please start insect repellent plants for the sunroom.
5 cats and 3 adults live here and the cats aren’t able to wear OFF.
14’ X 20’ enclosed Sunroom that is left open a crack for all cats to eat and drink, but bugs are so bad it’s hard to watch the stray kitties trying to find refuge.
I can’t think of anything else to do and I’m not a good starter, on my own.
I’ll pay very well for someone to do this for the cats.
I’ll find containers and buy the supplies or whatever is necessary.
I know lavender plants and basil are two that could be stacked at the door opening… but idk how big of container, how much plant for each container, deep or shallow, shade or sun … etc etc etc.
And don’t ask if anything else would work bc I’ve gone through all the avenues and this is the last ditch effort.
The only thing that would work is plants for natural repellent and safe for animals and pleasing for human.
20-30 plants maybe, idk
