We are currently hiring a Cook to join our team at a retirement home in Edmonton, Alberta. We are looking for a compassionate, dependable individual who takes pride in preparing nutritious, high-quality meals for our residents.
Position: Cook
Location: Edmonton, Alberta
Pay: $18.00–$21.00 per hour (depending on experience)
Job Type: Full-time
Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook nutritious meals according to approved menus and dietary requirements.
Ensure food is prepared, served, and stored in accordance with food safety and sanitation standards.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment.
Assist with food ordering, inventory, and stock rotation.
Accommodate special dietary needs as directed.
Work collaboratively with the dietary and care teams to provide excellent service to residents.
Qualifications:
Previous experience as a cook, preferably in a retirement home, long-term care, healthcare, or institutional setting.
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
Food Safety Certificate is an asset.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards.
Reliable, compassionate, and a team player.
