1999 Avid Flyer Model C, 2 seat aircraft – Speed Wing version
•
This is a folding wing aircraft that stores in a single bay garage and can be towed behind a car
•
Registered as Amateur Home Built
•
Single builder/owner/pilot since new
•
Last flown Sept. 2002 – Airframe has about 5 hours and engine has about 47 hrs (40 hours when installed + flight time + run-time during fuel system and other testing)
•
Powered by 64 hp Rotax 532 two stroke two cylinder engine with pull start. NOTE: The engine was used and had about 40 hours on it when the airframe was new. The engine was bought from the Avid Flyer Canadian Distributor who was upgrading to a larger engine for his plane.

Always stored indoors
•
Comes with custom trailer – Plane and trailer are light enough to be towed by almost any car (e.g. Honda Civic)
•
Factory extras include: tundra tires, hydraulic disc brakes, snap vents, extra fuel tank (one in each wing for 28 gal total fuel capacity).
•
452.7 lb empty weight and 850 lb gross weight – however I believe that the max gross weight can now be upgraded, with factory approval, to 912 lbs.

Comes with all documentation
WARNING: This aircraft has been in storage for 23 years and will need significant work before it is airworthy. It is being sold as-is with no assurance that it is fit for any purpose other than display (although it would make a really cool man-cave decoration and having it in my garage helped me sell my last house for full price cash!). If you plan to fly it again, make sure you know what you are doing or pay a professional. You must also be licensed to fly this type of aircraft and even if you are licensed, unless you are proficient with a light taildragger, you will need further training. Please don’t F&*% around and get killed. I don’t want to read about you in the news.
