SRS Contracting is looking for skilled individuals
Experienced carpenter needed for high-end residential and commercial construction company experiencing steady ongoing growth. Applicants should possess a wide range of skills in addition to strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact confidently with clients, vendors, architects and designers alike. Must be able to deal with customers in a courteous, professional manner.
Major Duties Include:
• Perform renovations on existing structures as required.
• Tiles and painting
• Drywall installation, patching, mudding/taping
• Laying sub-floor, installing new flooring mediums
• Cabinet and counter installs (an asset not required)
• Cleaning the job site after work is completed
• Work well within a team and maintain a positive attitude
• Maintain a high standard of safety practices
• Capable of receiving and following instructions and communicating with co-workers
• Ability to comprehend schematic diagrams, blueprints, sketches, building plans and other specifications is an asset
• Able to read and adhere to labels, safety warnings, and guidelines
• Ensure the assigned vehicle is kept in a safe and presentable condition.
• Submit accurate time sheets on a daily basis.
• Perform job functions in as efficient a manner as possible.
• Perform job functions ensuring the customers and their properties are respected.
• Immediately refer any customer or job issues to the supervisor.
• Wood and metal stud framing
• Drywall
• Metal siding
• Doors and frame + door hardware
• Drop ceilings
• Windows
• Molding and finishing
Experience/Skills Required:
• Working knowledge of construction processes and procedures as required.
• A minimum of 5 years carpentry experience, with emphasis on finishing work is preferred
• Red Seal Carpenter License is preferred
• Familiar with the safe use of power tools.
• Experience in new construction and renovations
• Working knowledge of the Health and Safety Code with WHMIS certification.
• Attention to detail and an understanding of the value of good customer service
• Valid Class G or higher driver’s license.
• Valid Working at Heights training.
