Sweet Annie, the most loving companion ❤️ updated post***
Description
⭐️ Updated my post for Annie because I am still urgently looking for a home for her.
Annie was my grandmas cat that I took in, she has been extremely stressed and I am looking for a new home for her because she deserves the best life possible. She was my grandmas kitty until she moved into a place where she isn’t able to have her. At first, Annie was in an old folks home but she didn’t do well there because there was too many people and sometimes the dementia residents were a bit rough with her. I decided I would let her come to my home and see how she would do knowing this is a way different environment than she is used to. I have a cat and a dog and she doesn’t like dogs. Whenever I would take my dog to my grandmas she would attack him and swat at him. I put her tower in her own area so she could have her own space, hoping that would help it did for a bit and she was happy, but now she is really not acting like herself and I feel so bad for her. She attacks my dog all the time and is making messes which keep getting worse over time (she never used to do this). The vet also thinks she’s doing this because of stress. So now I’ve had to accept that this just isn’t working out and it’s for the best if she goes to a home where she’s comfortable and not stressed and anxious all the time. And because Annie is so stressed, my other cat is stressed and is ripping apart everything in the house and he has never done this.
Annie would be an amazing companion for a senior, a couple, or a single person that simply just wants a best friend. She doesn’t like dogs and she dislikes kids very much. She won’t attack kids, but she will hiss and be super super grouchy and miserable. She will swat, launch, and hiss at dogs though. She didn’t like my cat at first, but now they are able to be near each other. She gets more comfortable with them with time. Although she has gotten more comfortable with my cat, she still is very stressed with our environment, it is not what she is used to.
She was alone with my grandma for quite some time and she loved it and that’s what she deserves. She is an absolute sweetheart and loves to cuddle and get all of the attention, she has the funniest personality, and LOVES belly rubs.
Annie is around 4 years old and is an indoor cat, she hasn’t been let out in 2 years. She would be an amazing companion for a senior because that’s what she was for the past 4 years with my grandma ❤️ she was my grandmas therapy pet after she went through alot of health issues, and she thrives off of being that. The hardest thing is watching her go from loving and being so happy to being stressed and uncomfortable.. Annie is used to a quiet chill environment. I have an 8 year old, and a very high energy dog, so she is really feeling very out of place, upset, and overwhelmed :(
Annie is very lonely and needing to be with someone that can give her a calm environment. I never wanted her to go to a shelter but I have no option now as I am extremely exhausted from her messes because of being so stressed. I don’t know what else to do for her :( I’ve tried calming treats, the feliway diffuser, given her own space/room and nothing is helping her stress :( she is on the wait list for a shelter, but I would really love to find her a home instead of her having to go there. This is extremely hard and heartbreaking to do.. so please reach out to me if you think she would be a good fit with you.
She has her favourite tower and pillow which will go with her as well as her litter box and water dish ❤️
Annie was also spayed at 6 months old
