1982 Moselle Roadster
Description
This 1982 Moselle Roadster has a 5-liter Ford 302 EFI V8, C4 automatic, A/C, PS, PB, and AM/FM cassette. This is NOT a kit car. Built by Moselle Coach Works of California from 1980 to 1983. Inspired by the 1928 Mercedes Benz SS. Made of heavy duty fiberglass on a Ford Courier truck platform. Made with a mixture of Ford and Mazda parts and they even have the Clenet etched side vent window glass. The car is 17 feet long with a 137" wheelbase and weighs 3,100 lbs.
Only a couple hundred were ever built (if that many) and very few with V8 engines. Mostly they had 2.3 liter Ford 4 cylinder engines. This car was stored from 1991 to 2023 and has only 13,800 kms on the odometer.
These cars sold for $37,500 US in the early 1980's that is equal to over $118,000 in today's money.
This car has been gone through totally and has many new parts, upgrades and new radial tires. Lots of power and fun to drive. However, you may find it a bit strange at first driving and sitting over 11 feet behind the front bumper.
