Job Type & Salary:

• Permanent full-time position (Monday – Friday, 7:30am – 4:00pm)
• Competitive wages will be determined based on relevant qualifications and experience.

Qualifications and Skills:

• College or University degree or diploma in mechanical engineering
• 2 years of design experience using AutoCAD or SolidWorks while being employed with a custom metal fabrication company.
• Knowledge of various manufacturing needs and processes which could include welding, machining, fabrication and/or construction is an asset.
• Attention to detail and precision, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities & Duties:

• Produce, modify, and check as-built detailed drawings and technical documentation required for manufacturing.
• Update and manage design tools, design data, and design drawings.
• Take provided information and be able to create preliminary designs.
• Ensure accurate product dimensioning and tolerancing.
• Check the quality and conformity of manufactured products.
• Answer production related questions and help resolve problems.
• Prepare all relevant product design documents for production release.
• Maintain safe work practices.
• Conduct him/herself in a professional manner in accordance with company guidelines.
• Perform other essential duties as required.
