Truck and Coach Mechanic
Description
Total Street Maintenance (Timmins Location) is looking for a licensed Truck and Coach mechanic. The mechanic will be responsible for preventive maintenance services; inspect, diagnosis and repair vehicles and equipment. Will have to keep up with maintenance schedules and break downs.
Able to work under limited supervision.
Key Responsibilities
Performs repairs and scheduled preventive maintenance
Perform inspections on electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, brake and suspension systems, on vehicles and other equipment.
Able to use scanning tools to diagnose issues
Estimates time and material costs on vehicle repairs and requisitions new parts
Performs all work with efficiency to reduce downtimes
Able to perform service calls for emergency breakdowns
Conducts safety checks on vehicles and equipment
Fill out work orders for vehicles and equipment
Record time spent on equipment as well as parts used and what maintenance was performed
Must maintain clean and safe work area
Must be PPE aware depending on work performed
Performs maintenance related work as required
Able to work under minimal supervision
Able to direct work to helpers/ apprentices
Education and experience
High school diploma or GED equivalent
Truck and coach license
Valid G License
3 or more year’s experience in the field

Summer
Standard 7-5 work week Monday – Friday
Weekend work is optional
Winter
Standard 7-5 work week Monday – Friday
Weekends optional
Must be available for truck issues in mornings
Salary
$50-$60 an hour This will be determined more depending on experience and skill set
