Senior Estimator – Part-Time (10+ Years Experience)
Description
Please Plant is a growing Canadian manufacturer of premium architectural planters, site furnishings, and custom fabricated products. We work with architects, landscape architects, developers, contractors, and municipalities on projects across North America.
We're looking for an experienced Senior Estimator to join our team on a flexible part-time basis.
Position Details
* Part-Time Permanent
* Approximately 8–10 hours per week (40 hours per month)
* Hybrid position based in Abbotsford, BC
* Flexible schedule
* Occasional travel throughout the Fraser Valley and Metro Vancouver
* Competitive hourly wage: **$50–$80 per hour**, based on experience
Responsibilities
* Prepare estimates for RFQs, tenders, and project bids
* Review architectural drawings and specifications
* Complete quantity take-offs
* Source supplier pricing
* Prepare detailed quotations and cost breakdowns
* Work closely with sales, drafting, purchasing, and production teams
* Participate in occasional meetings or site visits as required
Qualifications
Applicants should have:
* Minimum 10 years of estimating experience
* Experience estimating architectural products, miscellaneous metals, structural steel, custom fabrication, commercial construction, landscaping, or a related industry
* Ability to read architectural and structural drawings
* Strong knowledge of materials, labour costing, and fabrication processes
* Excellent communication and organizational skills
* Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
* Experience using Bluebeam, AutoCAD, On-Screen Takeoff, or similar software is an asset
* Valid BC Driver's Licence
* Reliable vehicle for occasional travel
