Surrey Estate Caretaker - Housing included

Onsite permanent part-time caretaker for park-like 5 acre estate in Hazelmere Valley, South Surrey.
Duties include: 1) cleaning, maintenance, and upkeep of the rolling hillside premises, which includes outbuildings, multiple driveways, extensive landscaping, orchard, and veggie garden, 2) dealing with weather impacts such as storm blow downs, plugged water drainage, snow removal, and drought, 3) looking after the premises and its amenities when owners travel, 4) ongoing monitoring of the premises, and 5) potential other assistance as owners get older.
Caretaker is expected to reside on the premises except for holidays, and to have sufficient experience and stamina to perform the duties efficiently, including the use of owner-provided tools and power equipment.
We are looking for a quiet, mature, multi-talented, middle-aged individual or couple that is dependable, pro-active, caring, energetic, organized, and handy.
The position includes the lease of the 1150 sq. ft. top floor of the separate coach house, with a large balcony, one garage with storage underneath, and optional use of the vegetable garden and greenhouse.
Owner is looking to enter a services contract whereby caretaker provides around 500 hours throughout the year (on average 10 hours per week with more in Spring and less in Winter) in return for rent well below market value ($700 + Utilities)
This opportunity is most suited for a middle aged (45-60) couple or individual with a stable main income or perhaps semi-retired, and less suited for candidates with live-in dependants or outdoor pets.
