Pleasure riding horse

I'm currently looking for a horse!

I'm not too picky about the height but leaning towards 15hh.
Age preferred around 8-15 no older, but can go a little younger.
I'm willing to buy a horse that needs a bit of work!
I'm hoping to do gymkhanas and potentially competitive barrel racing.
I'm not willing to travel really far distances!!
I'm hoping to make a purchase at $2500 but can go a little bit higher.
