Self-directed treatment study for cannabis use concerns
Description
Are you concerned about your use of cannabis?
We are recruiting people who use cannabis use recreationally and who wish to reduce or stop using cannabis with minimal assistance.
Eligibility Requirements:
1. Must have used cannabis use in the past month.
2. Be 18 years or older.
3. Live in Canada
4. Not be currently receiving treatment for cannabis use problems
This study will ask you to answer a few questions to determine eligibility. If you are eligible, you will be asked to provide your name and email address. We will send you a link to complete the baseline assessment survey, which will take about 10 minutes. If you are eligible and choose to participate, you will then be randomly placed into one of three groups. Participants will receive resources for changing their cannabis use.
After 3- and 6- months, you will be contacted by email to complete some more questions like the baseline questionnaire. For each follow-up assessment you complete, you will be compensated with a CAD $25 e-gift card. Additionally, you may be asked to complete a final interview about your experiences with the resources provided to you. For this, you will be compensated with a $40 e-gift card.
The University of Calgary Conjoint Faculties Research Ethics Board has approved this research study (REB20-1692).
