Cat - Quiet cute white tabby to rehome - Moby
Description
I want you to know that posting this listing is not a choice I've taken lightly, and I've loved and cherished this cat since she was first given to me in 2015. She's been with me through multiple moves and homes, and is a really peaceful, timid cat. Unfortunately due to family circumstances and another big move coming up, I can't give her the best life that she deserves, and I'm hoping someone here will be able to step in and take care of her. She really just needs a stable, quiet home without too much stimulation and noise.
Moby is definitely a little skittish, and she takes a while to warm up to new people or to change. I suspect that when you adopt her, she's going to hide in your place for a while until she recognizes that you're safe, at which point she'll hop up on the couch and sit right next to you. If you're looking for a really cuddly cat, she isn't the one for you, but she does love to be pet once she's sitting next to you. She also LOVES a good belly rub once she trusts you enough to lie on her back. Basically, she just needs time and quiet, stable home to live in.
Moby is not the type of cat that you can pick up (I've held her maybe three or four times total) and she's definitely not the type to want to cuddle, but again with time she will come to show affection and want to be near you as much as possible. She loves a good window with sunlight pouring through it and would happily bask in the sun-spot on the ground the entire day. She's an easy cat to own if you are happy to let her be.
Full disclosure: Moby has not been spayed. There are a number of reasons for this, none of which are relevant now. If the new owner would like to spay her, I will cover the cost of that operation if you provide me with a quote and invoice once the work is complete at the vet. I say this because I'm hoping that her not being spayed won't deter someone from giving her a loving home, and because I don't think I have enough time to get her spayed and fully recovered before we have to leave town. She would do better recovering in her new home, and since I know the cost of that surgery would be an unfair financial burden to you, I will cover it.
