Companion horse for rehoming
Last horse on the farm, owned by my grandfather who is having trouble looking after him, as well as himself. They have had Sam for roughly 6years as a companion for their other horse that passed away about 3years ago. Sam would do well with other horses as a great companion where he can be looked after and have company.
He has great potential but sadly no one to train him. He lets you pet him and he will come right up to you for a visit so he is a sweety he just needs the right owner. We do not think Sam has EVER been ridden and he lacks social skills with people, such as walking on a lead, touching his feet and being brushed but with patience this all could be improved.
Age is unclear, could be 15-20years old.
He is very friendly, he just needs someone with patience and experience. Unfortunately he is not a fan of having his feet touched, so for trimmings he needs to be sedated. We think with the right care and some training he could over come this.
He gets spoiled with treats everyday, quality hay and is very much loved, but with the state of my grandpa we are needing to sell the property and unable to fully provide for him.
