Hello, I'm currently looking for one roommate to share a 3 bedroom 1 bathroom house. I live under a subsidized native family housing unit so there are some requirements. I have moved the main details to the top of the ad. Thank you.
-- Rent Requirements --
Rent will be calculated using EIA/CPP rates, If you're working or going to school rent will then be calculated using current market rate. (Note: I do not make the rates as I'm not the landlord.)
You must complete the following information:
- An Application Form (Please Request link) (Please Fill out to the best your capability's)
- Three written references
Preferably at least one from a previous landlord and two character references minimum, who are not friends or family.
- Proof of income (such as EIA, EI, CPP, OAS, or employment income)
- One valid photo identification
Once approved, you will also be required to submit a copy of your income tax summary (most current).
The landlords will do renters backgrounds check for outstanding balances, etc so if you have any against your renting background you will be declined.
You will be able to move in once landlord approves your application.
Do not apply if you cannot collect the information requested.

- Male or Female is allowed to apply.
- Preferred ages 20 - 40 (may consider older as long as you can handle stairs constantly.)
- You must be a clean person (this means no bugs or being a slob, Please and Thank you.)
- I would prefer White or First Nations People and you must speak English as I do not understand heavy accents or other languages. (I may consider other people too, so feel free to message.)
- Being a True Canadian is a benefit too
- There are no animals allowed (landlords rules)
- Smoking cigarettes in the house but only in the designated areas. (This may change over time as I want to quit it too.)
- I do allow Weed to be smoked in the house but only in the designated areas. (This may change over time.) you may store up to a legal amount in the house.
- Drinking is fine as long as you are responsible about it, otherwise you may be requested to stop doing so.
- All other substances are not allowed.

I am 32 male, have type 1 diabetes and a few more medical issues now that do keep me at home. I did live with my father until 2024 (as his full time caregiver). I neglected my health and hobbies to provide for him, so I’m now having to play catch up with life now. I don’t know anyone so not too many people visit and my hobbies are gaming, live streaming, and graphic designs. I have never had to deal with rentals or looking for roommates so please keep in mind I may not know what you are talking about too.
-- About the Location --
I live in the Windsor Park area. This is a quiet neighborhood located close to elementary and high schools (barely hear the bells etc.) and it's about a 10 minute walk from Southdale mall.
The house is a side-by-side with 3 bedrooms & 1 bathroom (located on the second floor) also has a living room, kitchen (first floor), and basement (you can use some space for storage and also where laundry machines are located).
The house has a front yard and big fence caged backyard and there is a parking space (approximately 26 ft long, parking use is managed by me so I would have to be informed).
The room I'm renting is quite small for most people (see pictures) but I'm willing to work things out so not everything has to be stored in one room. I am trying to clear out another room right now but I know it will take a bit, to hopefully offer more space in the future.
My father did pass unfortunately and I’m still cleaning up the house since he was a long time hoarder (but it's a lot better than it was a bit ago). My mom does help me with cleaning sometimes and taking me to appointments and other places (you’ll probably meet her too).
This was a great spot for bus routes, but now Winnipeg has changed them so now I'm not too sure. I do believe D15 and F9 goes by here.

All other expenses such as Water, Power, Utilities are included.
The Internet may be provided at additional fees (I do have to pay for this service myself.)

There is un-even heating in the house in summer and winter and AC is not provided.
