Interested in coordinating installation on highly unique timber projects across North America?
We are seeking a Manager of Field Operations to join our young and dynamic team based in Abbotsford, BC. The qualified candidate will provide leadership, planning, and management for the safe, on-time and on-budget installation of our projects.
We are a unique structural engineering, manufacturing, and construction company that specializes in the design, fabrication, and erection of timber structures incorporating steel, glass, concrete, and other materials. Responsibilities
Ensure that the needed internal and external resources are available to meet project schedules.
Provide input into project sales and working estimates.
Develop, document, and maintain site safety and quality policies and procedures.
Hire and train of internal personnel to support project requirements.
Collaborate with engineers, project management, clients, subcontractors, etc., to determine and meet the project installation requirements.
Work collaboratively with engineering and project management to develop erection plans.
Prepare detailed resource loaded installation schedules.
Set site performance goals and milestone dates.
Provide input into the design to provide safe and efficient installation.
Estimate costs and monitor to ensure the project is on budget.
Supervise staff and provide constructive feedback.
Monitor and report on project progress.
Closely coordinate site deliveries with project management.
Plan inspections and obtain construction permits from local authorities.
Implement safety and quality guidelines.
Order the appropriate equipment and arrange for regular maintenance.
Keep track of material stock and orders.
Ensure the job site remains safe, clean, and orderly.
Resolve on-site issues and emergencies.
Obtain client signed handover by area and ensure and deficiencies are addressed in a timely manner.
Qualifications
Trade background and/or Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or similar field.
Bachelor's Degree (preferred)
