*8 hr to 12 hr Shifts / 40 to 60 hrs per Week*

Full Time Days (Mon – Fri)
Full Time Nights (Mon – Fri)
Weekend Days/Nights (Fri, Sat and Sun)

Requirements:
**Health Care Aides to work in Group Homes which are contracted through Alberta Health Services**

The applicant should possess the following qualifications and training:
- Health Care Aide, Personal Care Aide or Personal Support Worker Certificate
- First Aid/CPR or Health Care Provider Level C Certificate
- Must be a Canadian Citizen or Have a Valid PR Card or Valid Work Permit 

- Police Clearance Check

- Experience in Caring for the Mentally, Physically ill, Elderly & Brain Injured
- Must be able to Cook and Prepare Meals for Clients in the Home

- Ability to Speak and Write English Fluently 


Job Description: 

- Work in a group home setting 

- Provide personal care for 6 clients with mental, physical illnesses, brain injured, elderly, and clients with behavioural and personality disorders 

- Assisting with client care needs such as (bathing, dressing, feeding, toileting)
- Administering prescribed medications (Topical, Inhaler, Oral, and Blood Sugar Monitoring)
- Documentation of client's daily progress 

- Housekeeping (maintain general cleanliness of the home on a shift basis)
- Participation in clients individual care plans 

- Communication with other disciplines (Physician, Pharmacist, Occupational & Recreational
Therapists and Alberta Health Services Case Manager) 

- Preparation of 3 Meals per day for 6 clients in accordance with the Canadian Food Guide

Salary:
$17.00 per hour
