We are seeking a skilled Heavy Duty Mechanic (HET journeyman) to join our team. Candidates MUST HAVE On-road truck/trailer experience. Please only apply if you are willing to work primarily on on-road equipment, with some off-road mixed in.

- Assist in heavy lifting and moving of machinery when necessary.

We are seeking a skilled Shop Foreman to support a sand hauling operation as a working supervisor. Key Responsibilities
Preventive Maintenance (PM)
• Complete scheduled PM services on tractors and trailers, including fluids, filters, greasing, and inspections.
• Identify wear items early, including brakes, tires, hubs, suspension, steering, and air systems, and recommend repairs.
Diagnostics & Repairs - Tractors
• Diagnose and repair engine, electrical, starting/charging, cooling, driveline/vibration, steering/suspension, brake, and air system issues.
• Perform post-repair checks and ensure repairs meet safety and quality standards.
Trailer & Sand Equipment Repairs
• Inspect and repair trailer brake systems, air leaks/lines, suspension, landing gear, lights/wiring, tires/wheels, and structural items.
• Address sand-haul specific issues, including hoses, couplers, valves, connections, and hardware, to ensure safe loaded operation.
CVIP / Compliance
• Perform CVIP inspections, if certified, and/or prepare equipment for CVIP by completing deficiency repairs.
• Ensure all work meets Alberta compliance requirements and internal safety expectations.
• Maintain accurate documentation, including work orders, inspection notes, and parts used.
Shop Foreman Responsibilities
• Act as the working lead in the shop while continuing to perform hands-on mechanic duties.
• Set daily repair priorities based on safety, dispatch needs, downtime, parts availability, and upcoming CVIP or inspection requirements.
• Communicate equipment status, repair timelines, and downtime concerns with management and dispatch.
• Manage shop inventory, parts ordering, and parts availability to reduce repair delays and control costs.
• Support mechanics, parts planning, documentation, and safe shop practices to keep repairs moving efficiently.
Qualifications & Requirements
• Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician (HET).
• Strong experience with highway tractors and air brake systems.
• Solid trailer repair capability, including brakes, air, electrical, and suspension.
• Ability to lead in a busy shop environment while still completing hands-on repairs.
• Valid driver's license required; Class 1 is an asset.
• CVIP certification is a strong asset, or willingness to obtain.

Riley Farms is seeking a combine operator and grain cart operator for the fall harvest season. Starting date is end July/beginning of August.
The operation is located in southeast Alberta.
Wage rate to be competitive with general market rates, and is dependent upon prior experience. Class 1 license is a valued highly, but not required. Class 5 license is required.

Position 1: Experienced Framers
We are seeking skilled framers who can hit the ground running. You should be confident in all stages of residential wood-frame construction.
What you’ll do: Handle floor layouts, build and square walls, stand trusses, sheet roofs, and work safely at heights.
Requirements: Proven framing experience, strong blueprint/layout comprehension, and the ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision.
Position 2: Framing Labourers (Entry-Level / Apprentice)
No prior framing experience required, but a stellar work ethic and common sense are non-negotiable.
What you’ll do: Learn the trade from the ground up. Tasks include jobsite clean-up, packing lumber, shovelling snow, assisting experienced framers, and safely learning to use
power tools (circular saws, air nailers, staplers).
Compensation & Logistics
