Experienced framing carpenters wanted

DWC is hiring! We are looking for experienced framers to come join our team in beautiful Canmore. We pride ourselves in quality, honesty and timeliness. We are looking to expand our team with experienced carpenters and lead carpenters. Competent framers that are efficient and can deliver high quality rough carpentry work from day one. Bi-weekly pay, overtime paid on 8/44 rule, and holiday pay (9.6%). ±44 hours per week – possible overtime beyond

Hourly pay rate: $30.00 – $37.00 - depending on experience, position, and skills.

Requirements to join our team:

- Willing to relocate either temporarily or for the long run to the best place on earth. Canmore or Banff
- At least 5 years of wood framing experience
- PPE, First aid ticket, Fall protection ticket
- Valid driver’s license and own transportation
- Own hand tools
- Excellent oral communication, reliability, team player, values and ethics.
- Professional attitude
- Ability to supervise 1 to 4 people.
- Other trade certificate or diploma, or equivalent experience.

Tasks:
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements, Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials, Build foundations, install door beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems, Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware, Instruct apprentices
