Human Resource Generalist
Description
Our client is looking for their next HR Generalist to join their team in the Bathurst, NB area. Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, you will act as a trusted business partner—providing HR advice and expertise and acting as a key member of the management team.
Responsibilities
- Build trusting relationships, provide expertise and support the organization in all aspects of HR including labour relations, hourly recruitment, onboarding, performance management, leave management, discipline and employee relations;
- Provide support to the operational leaders in identifying and addressing employee relations issues and concerns;
- Support the Human Resources Manager in HR initiatives and projects;
- Administer policies and programs to ensure compliance that is consistent with the organization's core values;
- Be active in the community, identifying activities to promote the organization in the community and put into action diversity initiatives.
- Liaise with and build relationships with unionized employees
What You Offer
- Bachelor's degree in a related Human Resources field;
- 1+ years of experience in Human Resources, ideally from an industrial or manufacturing unionized environment;
- Experience in labor relations;
- Bilingual (English and French) required
- Recruitment experience and demonstrated success with recruitment
- Strong understanding of principles of Human Resources and Labour Relations as well as legislative compliance requirements;
- Experience with Microsoft Office;
- On-site position to provide daily support to our employees;
- Ability to work effectively in a demanding environment with a highly interactive team;
- Excellent interpersonal skills;
- Ability to communicate clear and concise information in an accurate informative manner;
- Effective listener;
- Strong prioritization and organizational skills;
- Strong attention to details
