FRASS
Give your vegetable seedlings a head start! Add MEALWORM FRASS to your potting soil. Frass is an environmental friendly, 100% organic booster for your vegetable garden, plants and flower beds. It’s an ecological alternative to chemical fertilizers.
$6 for 250 g - $10 for 400 g - $20 for 1 kg.
Frass carries properties that encourage plants to kick their defence mechanisms into overdrive, making it a natural pest control as well as encourage plants to grow bigger and stronger and yield more and bigger fruits!
A fantastic soil enhancer consisting of an odourless powder. Recommended to mix with the water that you're watering your plants with, but can be sprinkled on top of the soil before watering as well.
Transplanting Add a pinch of Frass under the roots.
Pre-Mix Add 1 cup of Frass per cubic foot of planting media prior to planting. It should be less than 1% by volume. On week 2, Top Dress or Compost Tea every 2 weeks.
Hydroponics Add 2 cups of Frass per 30 gallons of water (strain with cheese cloth for drip systems). Top Dress any grow media (Coco, Clay Pellets, etc.) Add directly to reservoir for ebb and flow or flood to drain systems.
Top Dress Sprinkle over root zone and water in immediately. 1 pound per 20 sq ft (250g per 2 sq. metres), 1 tablespoon per plant, every 2 weeks.
Foliar Feed Add 4 teaspoons of Frass for each gallon of water (1 teaspoon per quart). Shake and let sit for 30 minutes. Strain with cheese cloth and apply.
Compost Tea Add 2 cups per 15 gallons of tea (2 tablespoons per gallon) to achieve a fungal dominant tea. Apply as a root drench.
