Welcome to Arthur Frederick Community Builders
Have you ever dreamed about making a positive, lasting improvement in the lives of people who are in difficult circumstances? Are you concerned that offers of help too often diminish the independence and dignity of those receiving them?
Arthur Frederick Community Builders is a small organization which has developed a very successful system of providing assistance to people by involving them from the outset of each project. They have demonstrated that it is possible for individuals to lend a hand.Indeed, in a few short years this small group of highly committed people have been changing the world for numerous indigenous communities in the state of Chiapas, Mexico.
Through fundraising activities and concerted effort on the part of the board members and volunteers, AFCB has managed to build schools and basketball courts; to build water treatment facilities for numerous villages; to dig wells and catchment areas for preserving precious water supplies; and to bring desperately needed medical supplies and services to groups with minimal access to either. Please, visit www.afcb.ca , for details and ask for products we are selling for raising of funds!

Shout Sister! Choir
Picton Chapter
Thursday evenings from 7-9 pmCome Zoom with us
Come sing your cares away!Shout Sister has created a unique, enjoyable choir experience while singing from the comfort of your own home. We use Zoom to meet virtually every Thursday evening. Zoom is easy to install, user-friendly, and works on most computers, smartphones, and tablets. We have support to help you get set-up and running every step of the way. We will return to in-person practices when we are able to do so safely. You can Zoom from anywhere so we will offer monthly payments to out of town singers.
Georgette Fry directs the Picton chapter of Shout Sister. Georgette is an accomplished blues singer, a Juno nominee, and a fabulous choir Director. She also directs the Kingston and Brockville chapters of Shout Sister Choir.
There are 25 Chapters of Shout Sister! Choir in Ontario and we are constantly growing. Shout Sister! takes an unorthodox approach to choral singing. We do not audition, and we sing a fun variety of music from pop and Motown, to folk, to a touch of country and blues. We learn from recorded tracks, so we require no reading of music. Our method is fresh and fun, and we are a warm and welcoming community.
Everyone is welcome.
We would love to have you join us!
For information on joining please contact
