Work Exchange Opportunity
Description
Exchange Opportunity – Rural Manitoba (1 hour from Winnipeg)
I am looking for the right person to come stay on my property and help steward and maintain the space.
This is an exchange opportunity for someone who has their own mobile living space (van, trailer, or tiny home) and is looking for a quiet place to land for a time.
In exchange for a place to park, access to electricity, and use of a wood-burning sauna, you would be taking on the physical work of yard care and seasonal maintenance around the property.
This role is largely independent. I am focused on my own care and live with mobility challenges, so the expectation is that you are able to take on physical work fully on your own and follow through without hands-on involvement from me.
I am looking for someone who:
- Feels at home in nature
- Is physically capable and comfortable with outdoor work
- Is self-sufficient with tools and equipment (I have many, but being comfortable bringing and using your own tools is important — a chainsaw and ability to cut wood is a strong asset)
- Understands (or respects) seasonal cycles
- Is able to work independently and take initiative
- Is comfortable in a family environment, as my children are with me 50% of the time
Important:
- You must have your own living space
- This is an alcohol-free environment
- This is an exchange, not a paid position
I value the quiet, natural setting here and have space to share with the right person. I am looking for someone who will meet it with care and respect.
If this resonates, please reach out and share a bit about yourself, your experience, and what draws you to this kind of exchange.
