About the Opportunity
Sperling Industries Ltd. currently has an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager to join our team in Sperling, Manitoba on a full-time basis, Monday-Friday with a start time of 7AM.
The successful candidate will collaborate directly with customers to understand their needs and operational challenges while being supported by our drafting and design technicians. This position aims to contribute to our successes and explore new ways to serve our customers innovatively.
Additionally, your day-to-day responsibilities could include:- Work with the design/detailers, project management team, and customers directly to fully understand project requirements and customer needs
- Coordinate the document control for projects, along with the execution, scheduling, and invoice review
- Create, draft, and submit estimates to customers
- Monitor project status as it flows through fabrication and assist as questions arise
- Coordinate field installation and repair work through field scheduling
- Monitor and communicate regularly with existing and new customers
- Streamline and consolidate internal processes and procedures
To qualify for this role, you will need exceptional organizational skills, and a willingness to learn. Experienced workers or new graduates are welcome to apply!
You will also join us with the following skills or experience:- Ability to travel throughout Canada if needed
- Experience with mechanical design, structural engineering, estimating, and drafting is preferred
- Experience within the food processing industry is an asset
- Education/certification as an engineering technologist is an asset
- Ability to read drawings and communicate graphically
- Some experience with Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD, and/or Tekla Structures would be beneficial
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook

The Portage Industrial Exhibition Association is looking for a Campground Attendant for the 2024 camping season (approx May to September).
The Portage Industrial Exhibition Association operates 2 campgrounds nestled on their beautiful fairgrounds on the Island in Portage la Prairie, MB. One campground has 24 sites and the other 19. Sites include water, power, picnic table and fire box.
Position description:
- Greet campers and provide assistance in site location if needed
- Assist campers with drive up online booking (using our online bookings reservations software) and collect fees when needed
-Monitor check ins/check outs – in person and online
- Provide general assistance to campers
- Ensure guests adhere to campground rules and regulations
-Monitor campgrounds
- Comfort with computers and learning online applications. Laptop an asset.
- Maintain cleanliness of the campgrounds –- Will perform light maintenance work around the campground such as litter pickup, washing of picnic tables, trim grass as needed, clean fire pits, etc.
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness of campground restrooms.
- Provide general information on Portage & surrounding area. Be
familiar with local points of interest and the location of services that might
be requested by campers such as, groceries, churches, tourist
attractions and local events.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Work involves weekends and evenings for full seasonal term.

The main goal of this study is to investigate how different types of couples’ behaviors influence change in eating and physical activity behaviors over time.
Participation in our study involves completing questionnaires and participate in a discussion task.
