Good evening, Despite in-person lessons are much better, I'm offering online sessions as well. Look forward to talking with you!
My name is Dearian Seepersad, I'm a Music Teacher, Performer, and Composer. For the last 5 years I've been performing all over the GTA, including: festivals; pride, multi-cultural, afro-fest, private functions, restaurants, bars, and producing my local show while producing tracks for local Toronto artists. This year, I'm building my independent music school from my home studio. (Big Project!) Too often, I hear about beginner students horror stories about learning in the classical vein or the lack of purpose in general lesson plans. My focus is to create a unique lesson plan for each student to maximize efficiency while incorporating my teaching style into the plan. I incorporate musical expression, technique, and theory into each lesson while taking we've learnt and reworking it into something original. Composition being the ultimate goal; as we learn a lot quicker thinking for ourselves. There are no limitations, I've taught and performed in many genres: Classical, Jazz, Rock,Pop,Reggae, Blues, Hip-hop, Gospel, Fusion, the list goes on... So who am I? I'm a 24 year old musician who's extremely passionate about ALL music. - Completed 3 years Mohawk College Applied Music program. - 5 years teaching experience. (Includes leading band rehearsal and performances) - Developed and promoted shows - Constantly studying the scripts of the great classical composers. - Most important: Patient and Understanding. The lessons I'm offering are: Guitar, Bass, Keyboard, Recording, and Drums. (Drums taught by another teacher) We will discuss: Structure (Form), Harmony, Melody, Counterpoint, Sightreading and Improvisation while meeting the technical demands of instrument.
Each lesson will be 30 - 45 minutes with the option to have the lesson at your location/home. My rates are fair and negotiable. We all have our lives and circumstances going on; it's okay. Feel free to respond to this ad, call or text: 647-294-0493. (I'm quite busy, if you text the instrument you wish to learn, I'll call as soon as I'm available)
Thanks for reading, I hope we chat soon! "Music is the mediator between the spiritual and sensual life" - Ludwig Van Beethoven.

Hello,
My name is Ali and I am welcoming new online students.
While I offer services in a variety of subjects, the bulk of my tutoring experience has been specifically for high school Math or Physics.
As a tutor, my approach is to focus on helping my students understand and master the material, rather than just memorize formulas or techniques. I believe that this is a key to long-term success in any subject.
To achieve this, I use a variety of teaching methods and resources in my lessons. This might include interactive investigations, problem-solving exercises, or visual aids such as diagrams or graphs. I also encourage my students to ask questions and actively participate in the learning process, this helps them develop a deeper understanding of the subject and makes the learning process more enjoyable.
Knowing that there are different learning styles, I make an effort to tailor my lessons to individual needs and learning styles. For example, if a student is more visual, I might use more diagrams and graphs in my lessons, while if a student is more hands-on, I might use more interactive activities or problem-solving exercises.
Overall, my goal as a tutor is to share my knowledge and expertise in a way that helps learners succeed.
Best wishes,
Ali

From a smaller town where there isn't a whole lot going on. I'm dying here.
So I've played guitar about 15 years. With most of my stage experience set to that skill set. However. I also play bass( Ska. Punk. Reggae) and I just started drums about 2 months ago but have been learning very fast. I also can do vocals for metal and if your lucky you'll hear some cleans. Lol.
Seriously music is just the only thing I want out of life. It hasn't been easy. But it's kept me going this far and I want to find some people.to jam. I have another guitarist already who sings as well and he is great at drums like very very good! I would like to take it seriously but.no.pressure either it's a tool for knowledge and growth! Let's jam ?!!

I was in contact with Doug Simpson who owned Brantford Aluminum a few years ago regarding work their company did to a 70s townhouse complex in Kitchener. I had a few more questions regarding the work that was done, and sadly came to find he passed away a few years ago and the company no longer exists.
I was hoping if anyone worked for his company if they could help me in answering some of my questions. In particular I was looking for the name of the engineering firm that oversaw the scope of work Brantford Aluminum did on these old townhomes.
