Designed by Canadian artist Curtis Atwater, your coin depicts aquintessential scene of log cabins in the northern forest with a lynx hiding among the trees nearby. It is a clear winter night. A full moon dominates the sky while a bonfire burns in a clearing below. Theperspective gives the viewer the impression that they are approaching the cabins through the trees and have suddenly come upon a lynx that has quite possibly been there undetected for some time. The lynx is immediately recognizable by its housecat-like face, distinctive ear tufts, and pronounced facial ruff. Its massive forepaw is raised as if the lynx wasabout to move on, but has decided to stop to examine this stranger who has brought all this activity into its woods. The lynx gazes directly at the viewer, confident and unafraid; as if it was its decision to allow itself to be seen—a magical encounter that will be painfully brief before the majestic cat slips into the shadows in silence.Packaging:
Your coin is encapsulated and presented in a Royal Canadian Mint-branded maroon clamshell with a graphic beauty box.

Celebrate the legacy of the Voyageur Dollar and its artist!
The quintessential Canadian collector coin has been renewed, honouring yesterday’s artistry and today’s engraving techniques. Crafted in 99.99% pure silver, this kilo coin pays tribute toboth the Voyageur Dollar and its artist, Emanuel Hahn
His nostalgic image of Canada is given a place of honour on this stunning coin. But instead of re-creating the design previously featured on Canadian dollar coins (1935-1986), we went back to Hahn’s concept drawings to bring his artistic vision to life, with all its nuanced details, and on a much larger fine silver canvas than he could have ever imagined.
“Emanuel Hahn’s classic design has a timeless quality and represents the best of Canada: its people, its endless potential, the unbelievable beauty of its landscapes and the vastness of the North symbolized by the rays of the aurora borealis…” Masters Club Member: Mr. Bernie Torbik
This is Canadian artistry at its finest. Order your silver Voyageur kilo coin today!
- A classic is renewed. Canada’s most famous commemorative coin, the Voyageur Dollar, is re-imagined as a limited-edition collectible crafted in 1 kg of 99.99% pure silver.

It was also the Royal Canadian Mint’s first collaboration with artist Emanuel Hahn, whose designs still appear on some of our circulation coins today.

A fun and affordable gold coin, perfect to add to or start your gold collection! The pride of Atlantic Canada, the lobster (Homarus americanus) has become a cultural icon not only for its appeal to seafood lovers, but also as an important part of the area’s rich marine heritage. This nocturnal crustacean can be found crawling along the seabed of the Gulf of St. Lawrence and the Northwest Atlantic Ocean, where warmer summer temperatures draw it into shallower waters. There in this murky habitat, the lobster’s vision is able to detect movement but little else;instead, it relies on remarkably heightened sensesof taste, touch and smell to interact with its environment in ways that scientists are still uncovering today.
If you’ve ever wanted to experience the prestige of owninga pure gold coin, this unique treasure is it! Orderyours today!
Special features:
• Superior craftsmanship recreates the lobster’s unique characteristics in great detail on a remarkably small canvas.
• A beautiful frosted finish brings added dimension and depth to the striking design
• A timeless keepsake that celebrates an iconic sea creature that is the pride of Atlantic Canada and a staple of Canada’s fishing industry.
• Your coin is GST/HST exempt.
About the Design:
Designed by Canadian artist Emily Damstra, your coin features a striking three-quarter profile of a Canadian Atlantic lobster. Finely-detailed engraving recreates the lobster’s characteristic features, from the bumpy “teeth” on theclaws to the sensory bristles along the edges of its articulated tail. The long pair of antennae, which are sensitive to the touch and chemicals, rise uppast the image field while the shorter antennules are pointed forward to help the lobster react to itssurroundings. The lobster’s famous clawsare prominently displayed; both its large, big-toothed crusher claw and the fine-edged ripper claw areopened slightly, ready to grip any prey encountered as our lobster walks along the seabed on its eightwalking legs.
Did you know…
• Lobsters are only orange-red once they’ve been cooked—lobsters harvested in Atlantic Canada are typically olive or brownish-coloured.
• If a lobster is cut into two equal halves from head to tail, both would be the mirror image of theother—except for the front claws, which differ in shape to serve different purposes.
• The largest lobster on record was caught off-shore of Nova Scotia, weighing 20.14 kilograms and measuring more than 110 centimetres long—it is believed to have been at least 100 years old!
• If missing a leg or claw, the lobster has the ability to regenerate it when it moults.
• Lobsters moult by crawling out of their old shell; this briefly leaves them soft-shelled, but before the new shell hardens completely, they use sea water to fill extra space to allow forgrowth.
• The lobster is an active hunter with a varied diet that includes crab, shellfish, marine worms and more; they will even scavenge the remains of other sea organisms to feast upon.
• Just like humans, the lobster can be right or left-handed depending on which side its crusher claw is on!

Your coin is encapsulated and presented in a Royal Canadian Mint-branded maroon clamshell with a black beauty box.

In 1918, on the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month, the guns finally fell silent across the Western Front. A century later, the Royal Canadian Mint commemorates the anniversary of the Armistice with its most unusual coin yet: a poignant symbol of remembrance shaped like the steel helmets worn by Canadian combatants in the First World War.

- ONE HUNDRED YEARS LATER, CANADA HAS NOT FORGOTTEN: To commemorate the 100th anniversary of the armistice and the end of the First World War, a symbol of soldiering becomes the ultimate representation of bravery. Of sacrifice. Or remembrance.
- ONE OF OUR MOST UNFORGETTABLE FIRSTS: Our FIRST extreme curvature coin is an exceptional feat of craftsmanship, with a more deeply curved surface than any other concave- or convex-shaped coin.
- ANTIQUE FINISH: On the reverse, the antique finish gives the coin an appropriately aged and distressed look, while the engraved “cracks” and “markings” complete the helmet’s battle-worn appearance—a reminder of the reality of war and the hardships endured by those who fought and hoped for peace.
- A POWERFUL TRIBUTE TO COURAGE AND SACRIFICE: The small-scale replica of the steel helmet worn by Canadian soldiers in the First World War is a heartfelt tribute to their legacy, echoed in the poppy-flanked words engraved along the brim: “LEST WE FORGET N’OUBLIONS JAMAIS”.
DESIGN
Resembling the 1916 Mark I model worn by Canadian combatants, the combat helmet-shaped coin is the result of a careful collaboration between Royal Canadian Mint engravers and engineers. The coin’s unprecedented, extreme curvature allows for a realistic re-creation (on a much smaller scale) of the bowl-shaped headgear issued to Canadian troops and all British Empire forces in 1916. The reverse provides a view of the top of the now-iconic steel helmet, whose battle-worn appearance is the result of engraved “cracks” and “markings” beneath the antique finish that gives it all a distressed look. Along the brim that helped protect soldiers from airborne debris, the heartfelt assurance “LEST WE FORGET N’OUBLIONS JAMAIS” is flanked by engraved poppies, while the double dates “1918” and “2018” mark the centennial of Armistice. The obverse features the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II by Susanna Blunt engraved deep in the recessed circular crown, while the legend and face value are engraved on the brim.

In the heart of our nation’s capital, the hallowed walls of Parliament are home to thousands of carved and sculpted artworks of exceptional beauty. The Royal Canadian Mint is proud to showcase some of the many delights that grace these spaces with this three-coin series featuring carvings inspired by the sculptural art of Parliament.
Coin No. 1: Grotesque Wild Green Man
This $25 coin is 99.99% pure silver, with a diameter of 36 millimetres and a nominal metal weight of 30.75 grams. Engraved in ultra-high relief, the coin features an original depiction by Dominion Sculptor Phil White of a Gothic-style grotesque inspired by a carving found on the East Block of the Parliament Buildings. The image portrays the mythical Wild Green Man. The fierce figure’s foliate hair, brows, moustache, and beard dominate its face along with wide staring eyes and bared teeth. This expressive image seems to emerge from the coin face thanks to detailed engraving in ultra-high relief.
Coin No. 2: Grotesque Foliated Green Man
Engraved in ultra-high relief, the coin features an original depiction by Dominion Sculptor Phil White of a Gothic-style grotesque interpreted from a carving found on the East Block of the Parliament Buildings. The image portrays a Green man disgorging stylized “stiff-leaf” foliage from its mouth. The staring figure’s brows and hair are also composed of whirling, stylized leaves and stems.
Coin No. 3: Grotesque Horned Green ManEngraved in ultra-high relief, the reverse features an original depiction by Dominion Sculptor Phil White of a Gothic-style grotesque interpreted from a carving found on the Centre Block of the Parliament Buildings. The humorous, slightly unsettling horned Green Man sticks out his tongue, his grimacing mouth topped with a jaunty moustache. His face is encircled by stylized foliage and his deep-set eyes peer from below heavy brows. Two small goat-like horns curl out from his forehead. ITEM SPECIFACTIONS Diameter: 36 mm

The only tribute penny in gold!On January 2, 1908—the day that the Ottawa branch of the Royal Mint was itself freshly minted—Countess Alice Grey, wife of Canada’s ninth Governor-General, Albert Henry George Grey, stepped forward and struck Canada’s first domestically produced coin: a 1-cent coin. By 2012, more than 35 billion more would be produced.

Celebrate the history of the penny with your beautiful fine gold coin. A perfect gift for you or someone you know who wants to remember and cherish the penny.

• Crafted in 1/25-ounce fine gold (99.99% pure).
• GST/HST exempt.

The image features two upright five-lobed maple leaves, the larger one on the rightslightly overlapping the smaller leaf on the left. Both are attached by their stems to a small twig. The date of the penny’s last production, “2012,” is engraved just below and to the left of the central image. The word “CANADA” is engraved across the centralbottom portion of the reverse field. Opposite this word, across the centre top portion of the coin, is the face value of “1 CENT.” The reverse and obverse sides are framed with a beaded circle.

2009 Canada King Edward VIII Copper High Relief Antique Finish Medallion
Canada did not always produce its coins domestically. Until the Royal Canadian Mint opened in 1908, Canadian coins were imported from overseas. Even then, the designs and tools remained the domain of the Royal Mint in London while the Canadian facility operated as its Ottawa branch. This began to change in 1930 when the Mint became a wholly owned Canadian institution.
The reverse shows the uncrowned effigy of Edward VIII who was king of Britain from January 20 to December 11, 1936. When he acceded to the throne in January, preparations for new coins bearing his effigy began, but Edward VIII abdicated before the production tools for all the coins to be issued in Britain and its colonies were completed. Hence, this particular effigy never entered circulation in Canada. The effigy itself is in ultra high relief which is reminiscent of ancient medallic art.

Bald Eagles are found across Canada, thriving on the country’sPacific Coast in particular. Bald Eagles prefer to nest in large trees near isolated, well-stocked bodies of water. Their nests are among the largest in the world, sometimes several metres in height!
The great Bald Eagle is an amazing predator whose image hasbecome synonymous with the notions of freedom, majesty, strength and individualism in North America—particularly for its well-known symbolic status in the United States of America. Eagles, in general, are renowned as much for their hunting skills, speed, and strength as for their striking looks and size. A large brown-feathered raptor with white-feathered head and tail, razor-sharp talons and sharp hooked beak, the Bald Eagle’s vision is four times sharper than in humans, and is key to its hunting prowess.
