Looking for an Amazing Caregiver & Companion | Kelowna, BC
Looking for a job where you genuinely make a difference—and actually enjoy going to work? If you’re kind, dependable, and looking for meaningful long-term work with someone who values laughter, respect, and authentic connection, I’d love to hear from you!
I’m a 42-year-old woman with quadriplegia who is relocating to Kelowna and looking to welcome the right person to my small care team starting around the middle of this month.
I would love this to be an opportunity to become part of a positive, supportive daily life where kindness, trust, and teamwork matter.
A little about me…
I’m a gentle, kind-hearted person who believes in living with gratitude, humility, honour, and a positive outlook. I do not smoke and I do not drink or party. I love meaningful conversations, especially about life, spirituality, and personal growth. You’ll also find me enjoying walks along the waterfront, beach days, spending time with my wheelchair friends, keeping my home organized, listening to audiobooks, watching movies, and (when inspiration strikes!) cooking or writing.
Some days are full of activities, while others are slower and more relaxed. I appreciate both.
About the position
Rotating Schedule
3 days on / 4 days off
4 days on / 3 days off
Approximately 7 hours per day
Usually between 9:00–10:00 a.m. and 4:00–5:00 p.m.
Some flexibility with hours
Starting wage: $25/hour
Responsibilities include:
✨ Personal care, including:
Showering
Dressing
Catheter care
Ostomy care
Driving me to appointments, errands, and activities (my accessible vehicle is provided)
Grocery shopping and preparing healthy meals together
Light housekeeping and helping keep my home running smoothly
I’m hoping to find someone who is:
✔ Reliable and genuinely dependable ✔ Honest and trustworthy ✔ Physically capable of assisting with personal care ✔ Calm under pressure and able to multitask when needed ✔ Detail-oriented with a positive attitude ✔ Someone with a good sense of humour who enjoys connecting with people
Requirements:
Valid Class 5 driver’s licence
Your own vehicle for getting to and from work
Two references
First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
Passport (or willingness to obtain)
I’m hoping to find someone who is interested in building a long-term working relationship rather than simply filling a temporary position. The right fit is someone who values kindness, communication, mutual respect, and helping create a life that’s full—not just functional.
If this sounds like the kind of opportunity you’ve been looking for, I’d love to hear from you. Please send me a message by email or text and tell me a little about yourself, your experience, and what interests you about the position.
I look forward to meeting you!
