Great starter pigs! These guys are very easy to handle with gentle temperaments and fun personalities. Belly scratches and fresh grass are their favourite and they don’t need much for shelter. We chose not to register any of the pigs but do have the lineage paperwork for sows and boars if required.
KuneKunes are generally not big on “rooting” but since we live in such a wet climate they do make a big muddy mess of their area if not regularly rotated.
KuneKune meat is considered “the Kobe beef of pork”. Since they take longer to mature than commercial pigs, their meat is richly flavored, dark pink-red and marbled with fat, much like beef

I have a coming up yearling buck, looking for his new farm. He was bred here on our farm and was set to go to a new herd last fall but the deal fell through to no fault of his own, last minute. This boy is super long haired and faints easily, I have registered him as a level 5. He has great bangs and is one of the smallest bucks I have produced. He comes from a clean tested herd of CL, CAE, and Johnes. His papers haven’t arrived in the mail yet but he is MGR and MSFGA registered and microchipped. Destony is coming 3 this April, she is double homozygous by parentage, as well as 5 panel negotiate. She is halter broke, hauls loadd very well, has had lots of traveling time under her belt. Can be tied hard and fast for hours. Has good feet, that wear evenly, good with feet. Very friendly, easy to catch and handle, nice mover, cow breed line. Potty trained to outside and big litter box with pellets but expect accidents cause pigs see sensitive to change, yet she’s highly adaptable and smart so it won’t take long for her to adjust. Acts like / hangs out with my dogs, just like a puppy. She would do better in a home with other animal friends. Barn or Garage with dog door would be ideal.
