We are a busy family of 4 people, 2 dogs and 1 cat who need help keeping our busy home and life in order. We need someone who can come to our home from 10 am to 2 pm, Monday - Friday. Hourly or monthly rate negotiable and can be paid in cash. Could lead to full time for the right person after a trial period of one month. Holidays, weekends and school inservices can be expected off, unless agreed upon (i.e.: house sitting provided while family travels) Criminal record check and references required. Bonded applicants will be given priority. Here is a list of general services that can be expected: - Clean rooms, hallways, entryway, bathrooms, corridors, and stairways, every part of the home and property - Clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and/or draperies, using vacuum cleaners , shampooers or bringing items to the dry cleaners and / or arranging for pick up of rugs from rug cleaning service. - Take out the garbage and recycling - Sweep, scrub, and/or polish floors, including tile grout - Dust and polish furniture and kitchen equipment - Keep storage areas well-stocked, clean, and tidy - Clean / Polish accessories and metalwork such as fixtures and fittings - Remove debris from driveways, garages, porches and swimming pool areas - Replace light bulbs - Replenish supplies such as drinking glasses, linens, and bathroom items - Sort clothing and other articles, load washing machines, and iron and fold dried items - Sort clean linens and store them in linen closets - Change / wash bedding - Wash windows, walls, ceilings, and woodwork, as necessary - Assign duties to other support staff / providers and give instructions regarding work methods and routines - Request repair services and wait for repair workers to arrive - Dust window coverings - Move and arrange furniture, and turn mattresses if necessary - Prepare rooms for meetings and / or social events, and arrange decorations and furniture as needed - Take care of pets by grooming, exercising, and/or feeding them (if / when needed) - Wash dishes and clean kitchen, including inside and outside of all appliances - Answer telephones and doorbells - Purchase or order groceries and household supplies to keep kitchens stocked, and record expenditures - Run errands such as taking laundry to the cleaners and buying groceries Dependent on the situation may be asked to assist with childcare, animal care or other responsibilities as needed. Help needed in a Mission house cleaning, organizing, and downsizing a lot of stuff. Please respond with some details about yourself or a resume if you can do ANY or all of these tasks: 1. Cleaning, mostly contained to kitchen, living areas and bathroom. 2. Organizing cupboards, rooms 3. Selling online. I have extra furniture, clothes, products, decor, books, cds, etc that I don't need. 4. Filing, dealing with paperwork. 5. Online research, making calls 6. Yardwork-gardening, weeding, hedge trimming, etc. 7. Handyman skills-fixing things, building, setting up things (can pay more for specific skills or tools ) 8. Labour-moving things around, staining wood, etc. I'm flexible with hours you can work as I work from home. 1-6 hours per day, as many days as you have available, whenever it's convienienient for you, scheduled in advance and preferably on a regular basis if possible. $12/hr paid in cash/etransfer every 10th hour. ($120) or if you prefer, $11/hr cash/e-transfer each 1-6 hr shift. Performance based raises after 60 hours. Prefer someone with a reliable vehicle who has their own equipment/cleaners/tools (but not necessary as I have enough) Non-smoker only please as I'm allergic. Due to a series of unfortunate events my place is a disorganised MESS and I'm working too much right now to clean it. It needs several hours of work and I just never have that much time (and leftover energy) at once. I will be working from home this weekend so I'm looking for between 1 and 3 people to come over and just do whatever needs doing while I work; this will include washing dishes, putting away clean laundry, putting up a couple of shelves, unpacking some boxes, carrying some things up and down stairs, washing windows and windowsills, taking out garbage and recycling, etc. Let me know in advance if there's any kind of cleaning you're uncomfortable with. If you have a vehicle with some space, let me know and we can arrange some extra cash for you to take any garbage, recycling, or donations with you. Job requirements: 1. You allow me to take a picture of you and send it to my friend, and that's just to help me feel better about asking a stranger or strangers to come into my house. 2. You can carry things up and down stairs without hurting yourself. 3. YOU ARE NOT ALLERGIC TO WASPS/HORNETS. One of the unfortunate events was a hornet/wasp infestation... they are all dead now but you are bound to run into dead wasps/hornets. They can still sting after death so it's important that you are not only not allergic but that you are comfortable with the fact that you should wear shoes in my place and make sure you're working with some care so that you don't get stung. 4. You are not afraid of or allergic to small dogs. I have one. 5. You are comfortable with the fact that you may come across dog urine or faeces (unlikely, but she's pretty stupid so she sometimes goes in the house). I can't guarantee how many hours of work I can offer... this will depend on how many people I can get to help on short notice. There is probably more than a full work day for just one person. My place is very small but it is a pretty big mess and there are things I still haven't even been able to set up or unpack from when I moved in months ago. I think I have the necessary tools to put up shelves and things somewhere... but if you have some please bring them if you want! Also feel free to bring a laptop or tablet to watch videos or listen to music on while you work. You can use my wifi. Let me know ASAP if you can help out and when you would like to come by this weekend. First come first serve for up to 3 people.

Seeking carpenter(s) to assist with a new home build in Grantham's Landing. There is potential for full-time long term employment in the future, but for the moment we are only seeking short-term. Experience in building is definitely an asset as we will be building a 2-story + basement house from the ground up. We are either looking for a carpenter capable of working independently without supervision on a myriad of tasks involved in building a house from the ground up and/or a skilled assistant carpenter. Rates would vary depending on which category you fall into and your skill/experience level but would likely fall between the $25-$35/hr. You would be working alongside the project manager who is an experienced carpenter, the developer who is the who is the home designer and other experienced trades who have been contracted.
