[ Meet Lightning ]
Lightning's ear was wounded during birth due to a mistake by a first-time mother. I gave her extra attention as a baby because of this, and it made her super clingy She loves to get pets and hugs, and is the most confident of the litter. She is a brave, resilient girl who isn't afraid of nail trims!!

[ Rescue Story ]
We rescued a pair of bunnies (Holland Lop & Netherland Dwarf) in January. The former "owners" did not know basic care for bunnies, and wanted to re-home them when the male started spraying. I was told that he was neutered, but I could clearly see that he wasn't. I then expected a litter to be born, but was worried about the mom since she was a tiny Netherland Dwarf. Fortunately, she survived the labour and 5 healthy kits were born. The parents were malnourished when I brought them in, but now are chubby, healthy, and happy!
The babies were handled from day 1 because mom wasn't able to produce enough milk. I co-parented the litter and they are very friendly towards humans. They are in-door free-roam bunnies and love to follow us around the house. I love them so much!

As we run a closed rattery, we take our animals' health seriously and do not have guests prior to adoption. No viewing is possible before you actually come for pick-up, but I am happy to send you pictures anytime before the adoption day!

I do rescues whenever I have some money in my pocket. Less goodies for me, but giving a chance for neglected animals to live happy lives is the most valuable thing I can do. The adoption fee helps me recover some of the bills spent on them, and that helps me do more rescues, and give more treats to the animals!

In part due to being increasingly busy and due to personal difficulties I have been going through, I have come to the difficult decision to find a new home for my two young male degus. They were born in September of last year, and they get along well with each other. They are not particularly hand-tame, but will happily eat from my hand and are very curious about me and other people (if given enough time), especially the grey and white boy. I have tried to spend some more time handling them, but I just don't have the time they deserve, including for free-roaming time, and just keeping up with their basic care is the most I can do right now, which I don't feel is really enough. I'm hoping to find someone who can give them the time they deserve, while also respecting that they will take some time to get used to new people and it will probably be a somewhat lengthy process to get them more hand-tame.

Female Syrian, she is a one year old “teddy bear”, Syrian hamster. She is the sweetest, calmest, most cuddly hamster I’ve ever had… *when* she comes out from her tunnels, which is not often! She loves the home she’s made, and prefers a lot of her time down in her home!
But when you do catch her up and out in the open level, she doesn’t run or evade when you scoop her up for some cuddles and attention. She settles into your arms and sometimes likes to nap there.
This angel has never bitten, squeaked, or so much as given a side-eye. I think she may be the sweetest hamster to ever grace this earth.
She isn’t very food motivated, and prefers to take treats from the cage rather than your hand. And she may leave them there for a bit, but she’ll get to it eventually! Patience is key with this little lady.
Her NiteAngel paradise I’ve set up for her is the largest cage size. I also designed, cut from wood and set up platforms to allow her a set up on top that is safe from falling and ruining her tunnels below. The platforms have sanded and safe holes drilled to allow her to go below from any place up top. Last two photos show before the full fill so you can see how it’s set-up.
I used a mixture of beddings to create a bottom structure she can tunnel in.
The mixture includes: aspen, soft paper bedding, eco bedding, and cut up cardboard from things like toilet paper tubes. The top half is white paper bedding with a mixture of foliage. She has a forage bowl I use cob bedding in.
Her “spray forest” is made with wood fencing I cut from hamster climbing flexible bridges and fit with dowels into peg slots I drilled into the wood. It’s laid with coconut fibre bottom, and tiny little holes drilled throughout so spray and millet can stand tall there, encouraging her to climb and forage for it.
I designed it all in a way that you can remove the top platforms one by one to allow easy cleaning in sections, and not disturb the tunnels below until the time to clean those, too.
I have mosses, extra sprays, foliages, fluff bedding, herbs and spices, and lots of other things I can throw in with her re-home. I’ll also include one full un-opened bag of bedding and some food.
I love my hamster, and as you can see by all the heart and effort I put into the cages, I want her to have the best life… but I’m not in a stable place where I can give her the attention she deserves. As much as it breaks me, I need to do the hard thing and accept when it’s time to let someone else love her.

Male Ruby Eyed Dove Syrian Hamster

He's been hand tamed since birth, both his mom and dad are very cuddly. Mom is a short haired dark chocolate, and dad is a long haired black dominant spot. They're both het ruby eyed, decendents of hammies imported from Korea. This is my 7th generation, they don't have pedigree as it wasn't available at the time in Korea when I got my first hammies. They are not line bred or in bred, super friendly and healthy, and have a lifespan of 3~5 years.
Ruby eyed Syrians are one of the rarest morphs of syrian hamsters that exist. I have never seen one in canada, and there are only a few of them in Korea, Japan and some other countries. This is not albinism, no health defects related.
I will not answer careless inquiries that the answers already are in this ad, or questions asking if he's available. I will put the ad down once he's adopted.
When inquiring, please show respect, and tell me about yourself, experiences with hammies, what kind of setting you have for them and why you want to adopt one of my babies.

2 year old Holland Lop, male, neutered. He was bonded to another bunny of mine that passed recently. He does not seem depressed, but he's been hiding more and more these days because my kitten always wants to play with him. I know he is not in pain because he still comes out for treats, and at night when I visit him alone in his play area. He's very chill, would not leave his play area because he does not like hardwood floors and prefers to walk on rugs or mats instead. Can come with a big bin of hay, some treats, and his modified litterbox.
I'm not really wanting to give him away because we all love him, but I feel he is not living his best life. So I will be asking some questions if you are interested in taking him.
