NW Violin Voice Piano Theory Lessons - DAY
Description
Key to successful music learning is finding a teacher you connect with. I am known for building rapport with students so they won't dread coming to lessons and also see visible improvements and build confidence. I believe in giving every student lots of attention and love, and that every student has their own unique hidden strengths waiting to be discovered. Students find me to be outgoing and not boring, I enjoy being friends with my students!
Progress and musical foundation is often a concern parents/students face when searching for a teacher. After all, it's almost the whole point of lessons right?
With me, you can trust I don't drag progress and I teach all that's necessary for a good foundation, I watch and plan your progress so my students mostly all (should) finish Level 10 by high school grad or earlier. It's unfortunate some students play 10 years of piano and haven't been able to finish because their teachers don't calculate. They will learn everything they need for exams like theory, ear, sight, technique, etc. It’s not uncommon to hear teachers skip teaching these in lessons at all. I wish I knew why….
Outside exam prep, I engage students with playing pop music, ensembles, Christmas, duets, and exploring other styles to keep interest.
As lively as I seem, I am strict with practice and progress requires cooperation from both parents and students too. The only reason anyone can't progress is if there isn't consistent practice or trying advice, that's out of my control.
My students have been known to get 1st and 2nd place in festivals and receive high marks for RCM exams. This last year's festival, I'm proud to say that 6 students in 5 classes received 1st and 2nd place.
1 received Overall Most Outstanding Performance
I offer opportunities for (eccentric and fun) recitals, year end awards, festival, exams.

"Miss Rhyalle is an exceptional teacher. I have only taken a few months of piano and violin lessons with her, and my skills have developed substantially. I love the energy she brings to every lesson, she is so supportive and uplifting. She is dedicated to push her students to the best of their ability, and help them grow to become better musicians." - A. Le
"I was very fortunate to have Rhyalle as my piano teacher after learning with two other instructors. Rhyalle is a great communicator; she explains things very clearly and it’s very easy to understand her. She made my lessons very enjoyable. She critiqued my performance in a constructive manner and helped me improve a lot over the course of my learning since September of 2020. She cared about my progress and has always encouraged me to push above my limits to meet my own goal by the set timeframe. However, I didn’t feel any pressures and really enjoyed the pace.
Thank you so much, Rhyalle! Thank you for your patience with me and your great depth of knowledge. I feel that I’ve improved a lot more by learning with you in the past year. I really look forward to learning more with you in the near future." P. Hong
"Rhyalle is a teacher who is hardworking and fun. She gave me tips on how to finish my piano levels before high school. Honestly I think that if you had her as a teacher you would instantly like her. She is one of the best piano teachers I have ever had." - E. Asante
