The Atlas PVL-10 was engineered and built to offer a commercial grade above ground lift to those customers who have "fallen in love" with the Double S column design and asymmetric columns. Tens of thousands of above ground lifts incorporating the Double S column design have been sold worldwide over the past two decades. The Double S column design was so revolutionary, that it was protected by a patent. That patent has now expired.
The Atlas PVL-10 can be installed with the columns positioned either symmetrically or asymmetrically. When the Apex columns are installed in the asymmetrical configuration, there may be some benefit to open car doors. When the Apex columns are installed in the symmetric configuration there is more width between the columns. Please check the specifications page and picture gallery to determine which height setting and column configuration (asymmetrical or symmetrical) would be the best for your application. Both column configurations offer easy vehicle access and superior vehicle lift point support due to the three stage front arm design.
The Atlas PVL-10 features three (3) stage telescoping front arms, double screw rubber/metal adapters with truck height extensions, protective rubber pads mounted to the carriage , rubber column guards, and a price that cannot be matched.
Symmetric Columns And Super Symmetric Arms
The three stage front arms can be configured in the super-symmetric position when the columns are installed in the symmetric configuration. The Atlas PVL-10 super-symmetric arm configuration allows the customer to position the front arms as they are positioned for the Atlas 9OHSC-SS.
Asymmetric Columns and Arms
When the columns are installed in the asymmetric position, the arms will automatically configure into the asymmetric position allowing the 3-stage front arms to “point” toward the rear of the car. (PV-10P asymmetric arm configuration). If the columns are installed in this asymmetric position, then the front arms cannot be moved into a parallel or symmetric configuration.
Double Screw Up Adapters
Adjustable double screw lift pads are included with the Atlas PVL-10 Plus. Screw up adapters allow the operator to “precisely position” the lift pad in direct contact with the vehicle’s lifting points.

Dual Point Safety Release System: The Atlas 9KOH has a dual point safety release system.
Symmetric Columns and Asymmetric Arms:
The Atlas 9KOH has a symmetric column configuration that offers the widest possible
Drive Thru, asymmetric arms to allow easy access to both sides of the vehicle, and two additional lifting pads that offer an infinite amount of lifting points for the rear lift arms.
Chain-Over-Roller Cylinder Configuration: The Atlas 9KOH has the chain-over-roller cylinder configuration. This above ground lift incorporates both the direct drive cylinder configuration and the chain-over-roller cylinder configuration. The base plate two post above ground lift implements the chain-over-roller configuration. This is the only hydraulic cylinder system that is possible in the base plate lift. The base plate two post above ground is designed for "low ceilings". The direct drive hydraulic cylinder configuration cannot be used in the base plate lift because the hydraulic cylinder would extend above the 9' 3 in column when the lift arms were raised to the maximum height. The overhead & two post above ground lift may incorporate either the direct drive hydraulic cylinder or the chain-over-roller hydraulic cylinder.
ELECTRICAL REQUIREMENTS:
The electric motor for the power unit requires 220 Volt (single phase) 60 Hz. We recommend using at least a 10 gauge (grounded) wire from the electrical panel. The power unit has a short pigtail (no plug) that can be wired to either a quick disconnect box (mounted on the lift column) or to a male/female plug combination. A 30 amp breaker is recommended.
