I am looking to form a band. I am a singer/ songwriter currently going to school for Music Business. I am interested in performing, and forming a band has always been a dream of mine. I am not a strong guitar player, so I would want to be a lead singer, or back up singer. Open to any other instrument style. Looking for drummer, bassist and guitar players. I live in Oshawa. I do not currently have a place of practice, so all of this would have to be figured out as we go along.
If anyone has any experience and wants to start a band, that would be so helpful. I am in my first year of my program, and still a lot to learn. Knowledge of how to run a band, or experience being in one would be helpful. Otherwise, I do not mind taking the lead as I go.
I enjoy a lot of soul pop, and pop type music. However, I also love alternative, punk, rock, folk and metal as well. Open to play around with covers, or write our own content as well.

The idea is to tap into our creativity and to have enough material or ability to fill a 2hr slot.
Concept is simple: we get together and just play. Create. No need to pick a list of songs or to learn them at home. Practice all you want on your own and whatever you want on your own but all that’s needed is for you to show up and be serious about jamming.
We MAY eventually jam on some covers but they would have to be ‘our style’ and only a means to have some familiar music for audiences.

Hi! We are a five piece Hamilton-based band that combines hypnotic psychedelia with sounds from around the world. Our current lineup includes guitar, bass, keys, drums, and percussion. While we do have a singer, we are looking for a female backing vocalist to take our songs to the next level.
We are more interested in your passion, creativity and vision than your technical abilities. Sonically we are looking for a celestial voice that can contrast against and enhance our singer's rough-hewn, bluesy delivery.
It is important to note that we are only looking for singers who approach their craft without ego. We are all easy going guys, not divas. We are looking for someone who can commit to weekly rehearsals at Mainstage.

The Isosceles Project is looking for a drummer and bass player. I live around Hamilton Ontario but I have wheels. I'm comfortable commuting around an hour or so to practice with the right people. Looking for people who are into a wide breadth of music from metal to prog rock to synthy stuff to psychedelia to post metal to doomy sludge to funky riffs and everything in between, but generally the music leans to the darker side of things, but there is sometimes light at the end of the tunnel.
Some of my fav bands are The Mars Volta, Elder, Earthless, Brutus, Isis, Thrice, Opeth, Tobacco, Spotlights, Drab Majesty, Emma Ruth Rundle, Captain Beyond, Oranzi Pazuzu, Surprise Chef, Soundgarden, Patrick Cowley, indian, Fever Dog, Black Water Holy Light, Colour Haze, Bummer, Deaf Heaven, Mild Life, New Ghengis Tron, Dvne, Rezn, Wobbler, Motor Psycho.
Even though I love a lot of bands that have vocals, this band is instrumental.
Looking for drummers and bass players who have fairly developed chops, preferably from a metal background and upbringing. This is a proggy band with long songs, weird meters, tempo changes, and lots of riffs. We lean into meaty riffs a lot more than solos. I'm not a virtuso guitar player by any means, but I take pride in big riffs and playing with a lot of dynamic. I don't care if you play bass with your fingers or a pick.
Looking for people who are reliable, experienced, chill, and people who are into jamming weeklyish give or take, atleast until we have a set locked in. You should probably have Pro-ish gear. I'm a relaxed person. I don't mind if it's a slow burn as long as its a consistent one. Looking to make friends and for this to be fun.
I don't want this band to take over anyone's life, but I would like to share it with people who want it to be part of theirs.
There will be a bit of older material but mostly new material for the live set to start, but the ultimate goal would be to find people who are interested in collaborating and writing together. While I have a new record mostly done that I’ve been sitting on, I’d rather only tackle a few of those so it’ll be faster to move onto new stuff together.

Hey, currently 3-piece band late 20s/30s, looking for a guitar player/singer for our Power Pop/Indie Rock/Nerdcore band that is very rocknroll cool and serious but also plays songs about pro wrestling and video games and cartoons and Power Rangers.
Need someone who can play/learn pretty easy, mostly to back up the lead guitar on rhythm and maybe do the occasional lead/solo lines, but we especially need somebody who can confidently sing backup and harmonies, as basically all our songs have some harmonies/backup needed and we currently only have lead vocals.
If you’re into this and meet most of the requirements but play bass instead of guitar, give a shout anyway and we might be up to shuffle our bass player to guitar if it’s the right fit. Queer/trans/enby friendly and all voices welcome, but if you have a higher range/fem leaning voice there might also be opportunity to sing some leads as we’ve got a couple songs our old bass player used to sing that don’t really fit our voices. PM if interested and we’ll see about setting up a jam soon
