Hey all, I'm a well rounded (ish? ) guitar/ bass player and drummer looking for like minded musicians interested in jamming on Metallica songs and see where it goes. I'm open to other stuff too, honestly Metallica is my main interest and what I'm most well rounded in playing, also know a decent amount of Nirvana and some other random rock stuff.
While I play a few instruments, I'm definitely more skilled on guitar, followed by drums then bass. I welcome jamming with all other instruments, not just the typical rock band setup (but that's a wonderful starting point!)
I'm in Halifax and open to finding places to jam. Rockopolis off Cunard and Fantasie Music Instruments on Spring Garden come to mind, and of course suggestions are always welcome!
Full disclosure, I'm not trying to become a Rockstar, just reaching out to the local musician community to see if anyone's interested in jamming and having a few drinks, who knows maybe write some songs and become a garage band.. I jammed with a few people recently and I took it as a sign to get back out there to enjoy more of the same!

I'm putting a project into Re-Vamp mode, meaning, this project existed before and with some fantastic success (UK, USA tours, studio albums, and mucho radio play)

1) Female lead vocals (clean n sweet, easy registers but able to raunch, think Kidney Thieves. Simple enough?)

I have a shitload of material, 75% released officially, and 25% unreleased. Originally this project had male fronted vocals with female harmonies. Not this time. I'm changing shite up several notches and want the perfect femme fatale at the forefront. All songs will be pulled apart and redaxed.

I inherited an extensive library of great classical music recordings and have a Thorens turntable, NAD CD player, Quad electrostatic speakers, and a Bose bluetooth speaker. We're a 4 piece rock band (late 20s and early 30s) looking for an experienced keys player with their own gear and preferably the ability to switch between piano, e-piano, organ, and synth when appropriate.
We are currently playing covers of a wide range of rock music from the last 40 years or so. Originals are slowly being introduced. We've been playing for about 9 months, so it isn't exactly a start up operation.
The ability to adapt to key changes and learning by ear is definitely an asset, but we are able to assist with chords etc…
Vocal ability desirable, but not essential.
Beginners need not apply.
Jam Space is in Rideau Heights. We practice once a week, usually on Sundays. Aiming to play Homegrown this May.

I am looking to form a band or few, which can be big-ish or small.I have a diverse taste in music, and so I am willing to delve into several ideas for genres. I would like to focus on metal/alt (Knocked Loose, Gojira, Thornhill, Turnstile, Loathe, Currents, Basement, Every Time I Die...), broadly RnB or Indie ( Hiatus Kaiyote, Anderson .Paak/Free nationals, Khruangbin..) or whatever you might want to experiment with! The crazier the idea the better. >:)
I play drums, piano/keys, guitar, bass, and starting vocals. I definitely bias towards metal or jazzy Rnb genre/songs, but I am quite open to what works in the setting.

Over the last couple of years, I have started working as a session drummer, creating both programmed drum tracks and recording acoustic drum tracks. I find myself working mainly on rock/hard rock, pop, folk, singer-songwriter styles of music.

Groupe instrumentale recherche batteur/drummer.
Notre plage musicale est très vaste ou large car on compose et on adapte des chansons en version instrumentale à notre façon(une forme de cover dilué). On passe par du jazzy-blues jusqu'à du quasi métal, hard rock. On se décrit comme un groupe Lounge Électrique Progressif. On s'amuse en jouant et on laisse la balle rouler dans l'inspiration ou le riff du jour! On aime jouer et on aime toucher à plusieurs genre musicaux. On se donne beaucoup d'espace pour laisser l'émotion évoluer et pour mettre les subtilités en vigueur. Voici quelques chansons genre cover qu'on fait déjà pour te donner une idée:

Tony MacAlpine -Tears of Sahara
Le video est du guitariste, fait il y a quelques années, pour montrer encore une autre direction. On est des fans de musique de film, jeux vidéos et animé. Regarde aussi les autres videos de Hani Al comme Tears of Dust et plusieurs chansons du jeu Guilty Gear, etc. On a de l'expérience dans plusieurs autres genre musicaux avec des bands actifs. Notre but est de faire de la musique soit pour l'ambiance (lounge) et/ou pour de l'écoute active pour stimuler les rythmes cardiaques. On a déjà un spectacle à notre actif qui était un grand succès; le proprio veut qu'on revient. Notre batteur actuel n'est pas vraiment fan de faire trop de show et il préfère avoir du vocale. On veut faire des shows et des festivales. On aime expérimenter.Si t'es un batteur (drummer) qui aime varier de style, genre, tempo de chanson à chanson, qui est tanné de se cacher en arrière d'un chanteur/chanteuse et qui veut mettre ou libérer plus d'émotions dans ses chansons... t'es à la bonne place!! On veux quelqu'un capable de faire des effets de percussion pour mettre de la profondeur. On aimerait que tu t'impliques dans les compos. On aimerait développer une amitié avec toi. On est bon pour se déplacer chez vous car on sait un drum kit se déplace mal.
Guitariste et bassiste de la région St.Jérôme - St.Colomban.
On préfèrerait que tu habites dans la couronne nord de Mtl ou les basses Laurentides mais on peut être flexible si le match est wow. On s'enfou du sexe, l'âge ou ton orientation. On préfère au moins un peu d'expérience. Ce qui compte pour nous est ta personnalité, ton énergie, tes capacités et ton intérêt. On pratique habituellement 1 fois par semaine, les fins de semaine.Message moi pour avoir plus d'info ou pour initier un échange/discussion.
